Recessionista’s Fabuless Pick of the Week: L’Oreal Paris HIP Jelly Balm

jellybalm Recessionistas Fabuless Pick of the Week: LOreal Paris HIP Jelly BalmI am absolutely obsessed with L’Oreal Paris HIP Jelly Balm right now. They’re the poor (wo)man’s MAC Tendertones…except they’re better, IMO.

The creamy balm lends a juicy pop of color to lips without the stickiness of your average gloss. The six shades have a magic quality that flatter all skin tones (I am partial to Plush). They’re so moutwatering and moisturizing that they render your chapstick obsolete. And when you’re having a bad day, HIP Jelly Balm is the perfect pick-me-up beauty buy.

They smell like cotton candy, taste like caramel, and cost less than $10. Does it get any better?

Buy the entire set without breaking the bank.

Available at mass market retail stores and at drugstore.com.

    Hi Daneen,

Are these pretty sheer or more opaque?

    Thanks,

They’re pretty sheer. But not so sheer that they might as well be clear. You’re going to see the color on your lips, but it will be flattering. Trust me. Even Plush (bubblegum pink) looks TDF against my tan skin – which is absolutely amazing. I’m wearing right now…and it smells heavenly!
