Versace Yellow Diamond Giveaway

versace yellow diamond 1024x665 Versace Yellow Diamond GiveawayI have a very discriminating nose, which is why a lot of fragrance reviews don’t see the light of day on the pages of Spoiled Pretty. I have a few favorites (Hanae Mori Butterfly, Prada Infusion d’Iris, Kai, Philosophy Amazing Grace, L’Instant de Guerlain, Carol’s Daughter Sugar-Dipped Vanilla) – but most perfumes don’t impress me enough to warrant a review.

So the fact that I’m posting about Yellow Diamond should tell you that I’m definitely impressed with Versace’s latest olfactory offering.

Versace Yellow Diamond Perfume1 1024x694 Versace Yellow Diamond GiveawayA rare fragrance inspired by a rare jewel.  Yellow Diamond opens with the crystalline luminosity of citron from Diamante, blended with fresh pear sorbet and sparkling notes of bergamot and neroli. The radiant top notes unfold to reveal a crisp heart of orange blossom, freesia, mimosa and nymphea, grounded in sensual dry notes of ambery woods, palo santo wood and refined musk. The brilliance of the yellow fragrance emanates from a clean, carved bottle crowned with a glittering, jewel-cut top designed to evoke the namesake diamond. The breathtaking top catches the light like a 6-carat gem, creating the impression of a precious jewel glimmering in the sun. The unique bottle is housed in a yellow box patterned with a vintage Versace Baroque, giving the box an antique feel.

I’m not a fragrance expert and I always find it difficult to describe them because I’m not exactly sure what to say – aside from I really like/love it. But I’ll take a stab at characterizing Yellow Diamond by saying that it smells like spring. The blend of crisp citrus notes and fresh florals are the perfect transition from your heavy winter scent. It also strikes me as a fragrance with wide appeal. It’s appropriate for young and mature women.

Versace Yellow Diamond Lotion and Shower Gel 1024x691 Versace Yellow Diamond GiveawayYellow Diamond is available as an eau de toilette ($50-88), shower gel ($40), lotion ($42) gift sets ($88-93) and is sold at Macy’s, Bloomingdales, Dillard’s, Lord & Taylor, Nordstrom and Sephora stores nationwide. But this week, you can get it here too! And for free!

One lucky winner will receive the 6.7 oz Perfumed Body Lotion.

To enter, leave a comment below. Tell me which winter fragrance you’re going to retire if you win Versace Yellow Diamond. Be sure to include your email, Twitter handle (make sure you’re following @spoiledpretty so I can DM you) or some other way for me to get in touch if you win. The contest is open to U.S. residents only. Contest ends on Friday, April 13 at 5pm ET. I’ll announce the winner then.

Bonne chance, beauties!

If I win, I’m totally retiring my J’Adore! I super love it, but I can only wear it for so long before I get tired of it or can no longer smell it.

I have a tiny bottle of Chanel No.5 I’ve been using. It’s a good all-purpose fragrance, but I’d like something that’s special for spring, and I especially love scents in lotion form. Plus, I love the smell of pears, even though I can’t eat them because the texture bothers me.

I’ll put away my d&g The One. It’s almost done anyway so Yellow Diamond will be very welcome.

I’m going to temporarily retire my Versace Crystal Noir which is my go to winter fragrance. If yellow diamond is anywhere near as nice as Crystal Noir I need a bottle anyway!

This fragrance sounds totally amazing. I would probably retire my Mystere since it is so rare to find and pricey if you do.
