A few weeks ago, I posted a pic of this Max & Cleo dress I was planning to wear to a wedding and solicited your advice for complementary shoes. The resounding consensus was that I should jazz it up with a pair of colorful kicks. But while I loved many of your shoe recommendations, my wide, flat feet started to hurt just looking at those stilettos. So I decided to use your suggestions as style inspiration and search for similar heels in a less intimidating height. Unfortunately, 99.9% of the cute heels out there are too narrow for my Flintstone feet, not to mention ridiculously sky high. Seriously, how women can stand in these things, let alone stroll? Inquiring minds want to know.
I went to Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, DSW, Lord & Taylor and Bloomingdale’s – and came up with nada. I was this close to switching the dress – all because I couldn’t find appropriate shoes – until I happened upon the Sofft Ramona II Pump.
Really cute, right? They’re available in nine colors and come in narrow and wide widths!!! Plus the description pretty much sold it for me:
All the sophistication of peep-toe pumps with none of the pain. The Ramona II pumps by Sofft feature the brand’s signature comfort and a recessed platform, wrapped in leather for a sleek finish.
The Ramona II is sold by many retailers (for narrow and wide widths, your best bet is to search online), but . Originally $115, they were on sale for $69.99 – so I ordered the neon pink and the coral. The pink looked amazeballs with the dress (I got several compliments on them) and they were pretty comfy too. I mean, my dogs were kinda barking after a long night of dancing – but not so much that I needed to take them off and go barefoot (which was very good considering it was an outdoor wedding). I was planning on returning the other pair – but, honestly, the coral is also super cute (and on-trend) that I decided to add it to my footwear family.
The price went back up to $115 for a while, but it’s back on sale again through July 4th. So snatch up a pair…or two, like me.
