OMFG, I can’t live without it!
How did I ever survive before this?
This is the answer to my prayers!
Was someone reading my mind?
Why didn’t I think of this?
Where do I get more?
…feeling you got the first time you tried Moroccanoil? Well, if you don’t know what I’m talking about, you need to go read this post and then get yourself a bottle. But if you’re familiar with the miracle elixir that is Moroccanoil, you’re going to love my latest discoveries.
So a few weeks ago, a surprise package from the Moroccanoil geniuses showed up on my doorstep. Waiting for me inside was their new bath and body collection, which includes Body Buff, Intense Hydrating Treatment, Hand Cream, Cleansing Bar and Body Souffle.
I must admit, even though I’ve been a Moroccanoil nut since 2008 (I own almost every single hair product), it never occurred to me that they would or should venture into body care. Their products are so amazing and transformative for hair that I figured they’d just concentrate on that. But if they limited themselves to my myopic thinking, the world would be missing out on some seriously Holy Grail body products.
The Body Buff isn’t just your average scrub a dub dub. It’s a very effective exfoliant, yet gentle enough for every day – not to mention deeply hydrating. It’s kind of messy though, so be careful that you don’t slip.
The Hand Cream mixes argan oil with cocoa, shea and avocado butters to repair dry hands, strengthen nail and soften cuticles. And it feels so luxurious going on, to refer to it as a hand cream feels kind of like an insult.
But as much as I love the three aforementioned products, my absolute favorites are the Cleansing Bar and Body Souffle.
The Cleansing Bar may look like a simple bar of soap, but it’s so much more. It has a rich later, imparts intense moisture and leaves skin lightly fragranced with the signature Moroccanoil scent. I adore the Cleansing Bar so much, it got me in an argument with Mr. Spoiled Pretty.
One day last week when I stepped into my morning shower, I noticed that my Moroccanoil Cleansing Bar looked like it had been recently used. After I got out, I confronted my husband. Here’s how it went down:
Me: “Graham, did you use my Moroccanoil Cleansing Bar?”
Graham: “That bar of soap in there? Oh yeah. It was good. I really liked it.”
Me: First of all, it’s not soap. It’s a special cleansing bar. It’s not like regular soap…it’s more than that. It’s like gold and I’m trying to make it last as long as possible. Secondly, if you were using it because you ran out of your Swagger, kindly pick some up on the way home from work because you can never borrow this stuff ever again.”
Graham: “Okay, geez woman.”
And the Body Souffle is just as ridiculously awesome. The consistency of a body milk meets body butter, it blends argan oil, shea butter and aloe vera. It slips on and sinks in, infusing moisture and the signature scent. Afterwards, my skin feels so velvety smooth, I marvel every time.
All five are available exclusively at prestige spas and luxury retailers nationwide. Prices range from $10 to $52. For more information, visit moroccanoil.com.
