loreal advanced haircare

Fabulous products are available at every price point. And by that, I don’t mean that you can find some fairly decent prestige knockoffs at your local Target or drugstore. What I do mean is that there are many mass market beauty products that rival ones 10x their price. Case in point: L’Oreal’s new Advanced Haircare collection. Frankly, I think these products are in a league of their own.

I didn’t request samples from L’Oreal, so when a box of shampoos, conditioners and styling products showed up on my doorstep, I didn’t know what to make of them or what made them different/special…until I introduced them to my overprocessed tresses. Last weekend, I tested the following products:

loreal paris advanced haircare products

Advanced Haircare Power Moisture Rush Mask: Instantly infuses moisture into every strand. This mask, with its light and luxurious gel-like texture, transforms even dry, dehydrated hair into silky, soft and manageable strands.

Advanced Haircare Total Repair 5 Damage Erasing Balm: This rinse-out reconstructing balm repairs up to one year of damage in 1 use by instantly repairs the 5 signs of damage – split ends, weakness, roughness, dullness, and dehydration.

Advanced Haircare Smooth Intense Frizz Taming Anti-Frizz Serum: An intense leave-in smoothing serum that instantly polishes hair’s surface and creates an invisible humidity barrier to help block out frizz and lock in sleek shine. It tames even out-of-control strands, and when used with shampoo and conditioner, it delivers silky, frizz-controlled hair for up to 72 hours.

Advanced Haircare Smooth Intense Xtreme Straight Crème: Instantly penetrates to silken and straighten with nourishing care. This crème smoothes soothes hair, helping to ease the damaging effects of blow-drying and flat ironing, protecting strands from up to 450˚ F. Tames even over-worked, unmanageable hair. When used with the shampoo and conditioner, it helps control frizz for up to 72 hours.

Advanced Haircare Total Repair 5 Restorative Dry Oil: A luxurious daily leave-in treatment that revitalizes hair from root to tip. This multi-tasking dry oil is so potent that it tames flyaways and infuses lasting, luminous shine. It’s weightless and non-greasy, so the formula is instantly absorbed.

There’s a strong use of the word “instantly” in the product descriptions, right? But L’Oreal don’t lie. After the first use, my hair looked and felt renewed. My usually friend and Sahara thirsty strands were hydrated, soft and silky. And I couldn’t stop running petting my own head! I was just in awe.

The products I reviewed were just a sampling of this covetable collection that is comprised of 5 distinct lines: Total Repair 5 (4 products for damaged hair); Triple Resist (3 products for fragile, thinning hair); Color Vibrancy (3 products for color-treated hair); Power Moisture (3 products for normal to dry hair); Smooth Intense (3 products for frizzy hair). Products are priced $4.99 to 7.49.

I can’t live a day without their Anti-frizz serum. It works wonders on my hair, especially in during our muggy seasons.

    Stay beautiful!

I heard a lot of great reviews about L’Oreal Advance Haircare products. After reading yours, I am sure that I am going to try it. It is really hard to find an affordable one that actually works so this is worth a try.

I’ve GOT to try these out. My hair is a curly, frizzy mess! I’m always on the look out for something to tame it.

Thanks for the great review! I might use the “Advanced Haircare Total Repair 5 Restorative Dry Oil” because of the flyaways of my hair. It is really frustrating at times, and so, I am very lucky to find this post. I just hope that it would somehow be effective on my hair. I have heard a lot of great reviews regarding Loreal, and I really hope that this is the right brand for me.
