If you haven’t yet tried any of Laura Mercier’s bath and body collections, go to your closest Laura Mercier counter immediately! You will not be disappointed and every penny spent will be worth it. For a couple of weeks, I have been using the new Verbena Infusion Gel Body Moisture. I admit it – at first, I was skeptical of the “gel” in the name, and I couldn’t stop thinking about that sticky feeling you feel from using aloe – but I couldn’t have been more wrong about that. It’s part gel and part cream, so it actually feels much lighter than a cream – which is perfect for the heat of the summer. It glides on with ease and quickly absorbs into your skin. The result is extremely soft skin for hours – seriously, I love a great moisturizer that doesn’t require constant reapplication.
And the scent…I can go on for hours about how much I love the scent. I gravitate toward light, fresh and citrus scents when it comes to selecting creams and perfumes. And I have to give credit to my husband for describing it best. He said, “You smell great! Like a meadow full of wild flowers.” I laughed when I went online and read the actual description because he was spot on.
Inspired by the countryside of Provence, Laura captures the crisp freshness of Verbena to invigorate the senses. A sparkling bouquet of green citrus and leafy spearmint infuse beautifully with petals of fresh blossoms and a touch of white amber and cedarwood.
The scent also stays with you throughout most of the day. In fact, I have a smaller purse-sized tube that I take on business trips with me. It’s much nicer than having to use hotel creams.
And as another bonus, the 8 oz tube is pretty enough to leave on your counter, and because you can get your fingers in there, none will go to waste. It’s not nice having to cut the tube in half to get the last of the cream.
My other favorite Laura scent – for the winter especially – is the Almond Coconut Milk Souffle Body Cream. It’s delicious and reminds me of summer.
