Aveeno Skin Relief Gentle Scent Body Wash and Lotion

AVEENO SKIN RELIEF GENTLE SCENT BODY WASH AND LOTIONWhile I’m prone to eczema during the winter months, the rest of the year I’m luckily flare-up free. But this past summer, my skin was an irritated itchy mess – so I knew something not good was up and I’d be wise to see a dermatologist. The doctor’s orders were short and sweet.

#1) Take warm (not hot) baths and showers.

Okay…I can do that.

#2) Only use fragrance-free body products.

Whish Soda Fountain Collection

Whish Soda Fountain Collection Body ButtersWhish, one of my favorite bath and body brands, sent me these mini tubes of their new Soda Fountain Collection to try. And let me tell you – these body butters (which I’ve been using as hand lotion) smell so yummy, I’ve unconsciously morphed into Mary Katherine Gallagher. As I type this, I’ve probably stopped two or three times to sniff my hands.

The entire collection is available for purchase on the Whish website, but a limited selection of super-sized bottles is available as part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Beauty Exclusives(more…)

When I entered the store, I was greeted my a really nice saleswoman who asked me what I was looking for. I told her I was looking for something coconutty and she recommended their new Cool Coconut Surf Shower Gel. Typically, a bottle would set you back $12.50, but since it’s new, it was only $6. It smelled good and I almost bought it…that is, until I found a bottle of Coconut Water Chill Shower Gel in the clearance bin marked down to $2.75. I liked the scent a little better and the price couldn’t be beat. (more…)
