Welcome to Spoiled Pretty Street Style – a new column that shines a spotlight on fashion and beauty trends, and how they’re being interpreted in your neck of the woods.
For the inaugural post, I’m spotlighting Dayna, an impossibly chic Philadelphia lawyer.
In the photo, Dayna is rocking: a Black Halo dress, J. Crew cardigan, Marc Jacobs sunglasses, Heidi Klum earrings, Lagos ring, David Yurman and Charriol bracelets, Louis Vuitton handbag, and Boutique 9 sandals.
SP: What are your top five beauty products for summer?
Dayna: Darphin Cleansing Foam Gel, NARS Bronzing Powder, NARS Blush in Orgasm, Diorshow Black Out Mascara, and Chanel Aqualumiere Lip Gloss in #72 (Bubble Plum)
SP: Are there any celebrities whose style you admire?
Dayna: Rachel Bilson, Kate Bosworth, Lauren Conrad, Diane Kruger, and Nicole Richie
SP: What is your #1 beauty tip?
Dayna: Use a heated eyelash curler. They make a travel one at Sephora. It’s amazing.

Yesterday, rumors surfaced that Heidi (Montag) Pratt had a deal with QVC to sell her upcoming line of dry shampoo. But when contacted by Access Hollywood, a QVC rep dismissed the rumor. “We currently do not have anything in the works with Heidi Pratt,” the QVC rep said.
How much you wanna bet that they have something in the works with Heidi Montag?
Angela V. Shelton: a clothesline
Frances Callier: leather gloves
Janice Dickinson: Egyptian face cream
John Salley: digital camera
Patti Blagojevich: a makeup compact
Sanjaya Malakar: sports balls
Torrie Wilson: self-tanning lotion
Stephen Baldwin: toothpicks
Heidi & Spencer Pratt: dry shampoo
If ever there was a commercial for dry shampoo, it was the first two episodes of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here. In nearly every frame, Heidi (Montag) Pratt clutches a can of dry shampoo as if it were a canteen of water and she’s a contestant on Survivor: Sahara Desert.
In one scene, Speidi pretends to quit the show, only to circle back to camp and stir up more drama. When Spencer learns that the other contestants (believing the duo were actually heading for The Hills) had claimed Heidi’s belongings, he loses his damn mind. Lesson learned: don’t get between Heidi and her dry shampoo. Spencer will cut a bitch!
And at one point, as Speidi vapidly rocks in a hammock and preens for the cameras, Heidi spritzes her husband’s hair. Um, Heidi…a word of advice: it’s going to take more than a few mists of dry shampoo to neutralize your slimy, trouble-making mate.
I predict that, once the Gosselin mania dies down, these media whores will (for the umpteenth time) grace the cover of Us Weekly – hocking a line of dry shampoos with Heidi’s mug on the can.
For the 2009 MTV Movie Awards, CoverGirl makeup artist Molly R. Stern created a sexy and edgy look for Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester. “She wanted to look like herself while celebrating the rock ’n roll spirit of the night,” says Molly.
“I started by basing her skin with Cle de Peau’s new Cream Foundation in O20. For her blush, I used Shiseido’s Accentuating Powder Blush in Glistening Brown.”
“On her eyes, I based them with Vincent Longo’s Liquid Eyeshadow in Midnight Mauve. Over that, on the inside lid into the crease, I dusted NARS Night Clubbing glittery powder eyeshadow. Inside her eye both bottom and top, I lined her eyes with CoverGirl Exact Eyelights Brightening Liner in Vibrant Pearl (NEW from CoverGirl, hitting shelves in late July!!). Her mascara is CoverGirl LashBlast Luxe in Black Emerald. And to finish the look, she is wearing CoverGirl Outlast Lipstain in Cinnamon Smile.”
