Almost every time I hear Kim Kardashian talk about her favorite beauty products, MAC’s Zoomlash Mascara makes the list. But this celebrity rump shaker doesn’t limit her lashes to zoom-a-zoom-zoom-zoom and a boom-boom. Oh no. On her blog, Kim dishes that sometimes, she likes to do drugstore…

“I have tried so many different mascaras and often switch, but right now I am in New Orleans and stopped off at a drug store and bought Maybelline’s Great Lash and love it! It’s all about layering: First I apply one coat then add 2 more. I like volume! This mascara is very affordable and works great! “

Kim Kardashian’s Favorite Eye Liner

I was just perusing Kim Kardashian’s blog (you know she’s one of my beauty icons) and she’s made a New Year’s resolution that I think you’ll be excited about. She’s decided to periodically post her absolute favorite beauty products – so makeup junkies like you and me can cop her style.

First up is her #1 pet eye pencil, Stila’s Kajal Eye Liner in Onyx.

Kim says, “Trust me. I’ve tried every eye liner and this Stila one is so dark and lasts a long time!”

Troy Jensen is the man behind Kim Kardashian’s 70′s inspired makeup at the Spike TV Video Game Awards. The makeup artist/photographer blogs, “Metallic gold and intense black-lined eyes with a soft pale pink mouth complimented her dress. I love creating new looks with Kim. She has a fantastic face to work on. In earlier events, I tried to keep it fresh and sexy but this time, I wanted to give Kim a red-carpet look reminiscent of early 1970′s Cher.”

To create the look, Jensen used Revlon products. He shares the following tip for creating the perfect 70s sheer: “Choose a lip shade one or two shades brighter than your own in a salmon, rose, or raspberry pink lipstick. Pat on with your fingertips then blot with a tissue. Top with sheer gold lip gloss.”

Breaking News: Rob Pattinson Cut His Hair

Okay…deep breaths…

No statement has been released about the reasons behind the chop. But Spoiled Pretty speculates that the haircut is just the shy star’s attempt at being a little less conspicuous. Or carpal tunnel set in after months of clawing his matted mane out of his face.

For best use of hair accessories, the award goes to Rihanna. RiRi would like to thank the academy…Star Academy, that is.

On Friday night’s season finale of the French singing competition, Rihanna accessorized her faux hawk with a halo of Swarovski crystal hair pins.

The looks that Rihanna (or her stylist) comes up with boggles the mind.

You don’t need a superstar budget to recreate this look. These rhinestone hair pins (above left) are only $20 for a set of six at Beautiful Bridal (I purchased my bridal tiara via this online retailer and was beyond pleased).

Last night, my sis emailed me the link to Rihanna’s Rehab video. After watching it, I was like, “Sasha who? Beyonce can wear all the Gareth Pugh she wants to…this girl is FIERCE.”

I have to admit that the music vid plot lacks imagination. Truthfully, I could have written a better script. But who needs a story when you have Miss RiRi and Timberlake steaming up the desert? And her makeup…flawless! It don’t get no better than the kohl-rimmed eye/crimson lip combo she sports in this video.
