I'm home on maternity leave, so I spend an inordinate amount of time nursing my daughter, burping her and changing her diapers - all the while, watching hours of QVC. I don't know what it is, but I am mesmerized by QVC demonstrations. If I'm channel surfing and I happen to land on QVC, it's damn near impossible for CONTINUE READING

A few weeks ago, I paid a visit to my local Bath & Body Works store. I was on the hunt for a tropical-smelling body wash that wouldn't break the bank, and B&BW seemed like a good place to search. When I entered the store, I was greeted my a really nice saleswoman who asked me what I was CONTINUE READING
Every month, my girlfriends from college and I get together for dinner in the Philadelphia area. We started this tradition about two years ago, and - of course - we have a great time catching up and reminiscing! Most of them are product-obsessed (like me), and most have been through some sort of make-up introductory when we became "of age" to wear it. Now CONTINUE READING

Who’s responsible for Eva Longoria’s short new do? Her husband, Tony Parker!
“Tony cut my hair!” says Longoria. “I had to cut my hair for the show because Gabrielle has short hair,” she says. “I wore a wig in the last episode, but I didn’t want to wear a wig this whole season, so I was like, ‘I’m going to cut it!’”
She says her hairstylist, Ken Paves, forced Parker to make the first move. “He said, ‘Tony, you’re going to do the first cut, so she can’t be mad at me,’” she says. “Tony did the first snip. He did more and then he did more and then Kenny cleaned it up.”
Blake Lively, Alexis Bledel, America Ferrera and Amber Tamblyn at the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 premiere.
I have a total girl crush on America…usually, she can do no wrong in my eyes. But I must admit that I’m not loving the Amy Winehouse-inspired makeup and hair. However, she redeemed herself with a stunning strapless Brian Reyes dress and Christian Louboutin stilettos. America said, “I’m not sure if people recognized me, but I definitely got some strange looks!”
Blake is resplendent in a tangerine Gucci gown. I’m totally digging the microbraids.
Amber shocked me – and not in a good way – by wearing pants. From the photos, it looks like someone took an old bridesmaids dress and fashioned it into a jumpsuit-esque ensemble. The makeup is meh. And the hair is so boring, I’m falling asleep just looking at it. I mean, I’m sporting the same hairstyle right now…but I’m not at a Hollywood premiere standing next to Serena VanderWoodsen.
Alexis absolutely blew me away with her glowing skin and punchy lip color. This Gilmore girl certainly grew up! Her hair was pulled back in a simple (yet chic) bun, allowing her gorgeous face to take center stage. Check out those baby blues! Alexis gets my vote for best-dressed – she paired her black ribbon-trimmed dress by Mischen with strappy gladiator heels.
Kim recently rocked MAC 35 Lash for her Jimmy Kimmel appearance. She says, “When I answered questions before about fake lashes, I mentioned I wore a company called Red Cherry, which I still love, but these new MAC ones I really am into!”

In August 2008, Jessica Simpson will add a perfume to her curriculum vitae. Fancy is the product of Jessica’s collaboration with Parlux Fragrances.
“With Fancy, I wanted to create a pretty fragrance, one that I could be just as comfortable wearing on the red carpet or every day with my favorite jeans,” says Simpson. “For me, Fancy is just that: fancy. This is a unique fragrance – personal, whimsical, playful and romantic with a heart of gardenia, an essence I truly cherish.”
Fancy opens with the radiance of sparkling Pear and juicy Apricot Nectar wrapped with the glow of Red Fruits. The heart of Fancy is the captivating draw of dewy Gardenia laced with the delicacy of Night Blooming Jasmine. Toasted Almonds and Caramel notes provide a playful element. Creamy Sandalwood, infused with the sensual energy of Amber Crystals, unites with the embracing warmth of Vanilla Crème as Fancy clings to the skin at dry down. The fragrance itself is the color of blush champagne, a soft pink, the ultimate color of femininity.
The bottle is a softer, more modern interpretation of Jessica’s favorite vintage perfume bottles. The rose-gold floral motif that encircles both the bottle and collar add richness and dimension to this exquisite package.
The Fancy fragrance collection consists of a 3.4 oz. Eau de Parfum Spray ($59.00) and a 1.7 oz. Eau de Parfum Spray ($49.00), and a 5.0 oz Body Lotion ($30.00). The launch gift with purchase is a vintage-inspired cosmetic case, in soft pink to match the fragrance.
