Think it takes you a long time getting ready to go out? You probably don’t primp as long as Sean “P Diddy” Combs. But considering he’s one of the most well-groomed gents in the business, it should come as no surprise. The media mogul recently sat down with the UK’s Daily Mail for a piece entitled, How to… Party like P Diddy. Here’s an excerpt:
I have my own particular ritual for getting ready, which takes about two hours, but before I settle on an outfit, I like to try on lots of different ones, and I’ll have a long bath beforehand.
I may change twice in an evening and I’ll always have a spare outfit on hand if something happens to the one I’m wearing.
The dress code for the Hollywood party was ‘sexy formal’, and I loved the outfit I eventually wore, which was a vintage white tuxedo jacket. I had a real ‘black Sinatra’ look going on. Otherwise, I like to wear things from my Sean John line.
My clothing line is like fashion Viagra. While I’m getting ready I like to relax with a drink – vodka and lemonade – and listen to my music, usually some James Brown.
Then I’ll have a manicure and pedicure – and yes, I wax as well. Grooming’s very important and men owe it to women to make sure they’re well groomed.
I wax my privates. I’ll also wear my fragrance, Unforgivable Black. You can tell a lot by a man’s fragrance, and either you have good taste or you can smell like your grandfather. In everything I do, I visualise myself either putting clothes on or taking them off.
Yesterday on her blog, Kim Kardashian answered some tanning questions. Here’s an excerpt, for all of you Kim fans…
Hey Kim! I’d really love your “sun-kissed” look, what is your favorite make-up bronzer to use on your face/body??
I love MAC bronzers! I try to use a darker pressed powder like NC45, instead of bronzers with shimmer, because it tends to look to shiny sometimes.

Rihanna is a ray of sunshine in a Giambattista Valli gown. Her eye makeup is perfection, but I can’t say that I’m loving the matte metlot shade on her lips.
This August, Mariah Carey will unveil Luscious Pink, her second fragrance with Elizabeth Arden.
“This scent is feminine, flirtatious and fun, and truly reflects where I am in my life now, after an incredible year,” Mariah says. “The response from my fans with my debut scent was overwhelming, and I can’t wait to see what happens with my second Luscious fragrance.”
Luscious Pink, a sparkling floral, has top notes of Sicilian bergamot, Ocean Breeze accord and sparkling Bellini accord; a heart of Tahitian Tiare petals, lily of the valley and pink peony, and a drydown of bright blond woods, creamy sandalwood and white musk, which has been described as “a floral melody that is as enveloping as Mariah’s voice.”
The collection includes eau de parfum sprays in three sizes: 1 oz. ($39.50), 1.7 oz. ($55) and 3.3 oz. ($65) — as well as a 6.8-oz. body lotion ($28). Luscious Pink will be sold in 2,000 U.S, department stores, and will also be available in Japan.
I’m a big fan of M, Mariah’s first fragrance – so I’m anxious to get a whiff of her sophmore scent.
Last night, at the Grand Palais in Paris, Lancôme welcomed Anne Hathaway as its newest ambassador and introduced Magnifique, its newest fragrance.
The fragrance collection and the advertising campaign will launch in August 2008.
Magnifique, a woodsy floral, was created by master perfumers Olivier Cresp and Jacques Cavallier.
This British actress sure has transformed herself over the years. She’s barely recognizable in this photo from 1993, the year she got her big-screen big break. Can you guess who she is?
This afternoon, I received an email from my girl Tess, over at Three Custom Color Specialists. Tess told me that Troy Jensen, makeup artist to the Pussycat Dolls, had just called from the set of the music video shoot for their new single, “When I Grow Up.”
In the video, Nicole Scherzinger will be wearing Three Custom Color’s Light Brights Lipstick in Palladium. The dolls loved the shades so much that Troy requested a set of all four shades for each of them!
