My hair grows like a weed. Unfortunately, the hair of which I speak is not on my head. My legs and underarms give my razor a workout. If I shave in the morning, by afternoon, I've got stubble. And forget about skipping days...unless I want to look like Sasquatch. Getting rid of the hair is not only expensive (I CONTINUE READING
The shower and my chemically-straightened hair are frenemies. Every seventh day when I wash my hair, they get along great in a shampoo Shangri-la. But the rest of the week, I employ a shower cap to keep the steam from undoing the silky straightness. I have been wearing shower caps since I was a child, and I’ve tried them CONTINUE READING

I've been searching for some cat eye sunnies for forever. On a whim, I bought these Wildfox Catfarer Sunglasses from Shopbop - hoping that they wouldn't look too cartoonish.
Even though I was afraid they'd be too large, I'm digging the oversized frames. They make a statement without overwhelming my face. And the cat eye shape is subtle, so it's not CONTINUE READING
Now that I have two kids - and the youngest being 6 weeks old - I needed to get better acquainted with quick-dry nail polish options. I hardly have time to do anything, let alone a DIY - so I needed to find some lacquers that fit my new lifestyle.
Yesterday, while going my grocery shopping, I picked up Revlon CONTINUE READING
I'm home on maternity leave, so I spend an inordinate amount of time nursing my daughter, burping her and changing her diapers - all the while, watching hours of QVC. I don't know what it is, but I am mesmerized by QVC demonstrations. If I'm channel surfing and I happen to land on QVC, it's damn near impossible for CONTINUE READING
Who wants shiny, silky smooth hair? Silly question, right? I mean, I don’t know anyone who wants a dull, brittle mop-top. Would you believe that soft, supple hair is as close as your local drugstore? Nice ‘n Easy ColorSeal Conditioning Gloss is an intensive weekly conditioning treatment that seals the hair cuticle, helping to keep your color looking healthy, long-lasting and shiny, for up to six weeks.
As promised, seven of you have won your very own tube – courtesy of Clairol and Spoiled Pretty. And the winners are: Lenore Champagne, Jennifer Giza, Cindi Hoppes, Courtney Liggera, Kristi Price, Shelly A. Taylor, and Deirdre Uria.
Congrats, ladies…hair help is on the way!
I’d like to thank Clairol for sponsoring this contest…and all of you who continue to participate in these giveaways.
Another giveaway is on the horizon…so check back very soon!
Happy Friday, all! Today couldn’t have come sooner – I am in serious need of some R&R. I don’t know about you, but it’s felt like a lifetime has lapsed since Monday. And I know I’m not the only one..those of you who entered the Victoria’s Secret PINK Giveaway are probably especially anxious.
Suspense isn’t my forte (I’m more adept and comedy and sarcasm), so I’ll just get on with it.
Monday’s are rough. I know. Half of you are wishing it was still Sunday, because you didn’t accomplish half the things you’d planned on this past weekend. The other half has accepted that it’s a new week, but you’re mentally counting down the days til your next attempt at some R&R.
Kinda off topic, but you know who’s probably having a particularly manic Monday? Miss USA. For the second year in a row, Miss USA tripped during the evening gown competition. In 2007, Rachel Smith took a little tumble and landed on her tailbone. This year, Crystle Stewart followed in her predecessor’s awkward footsteps. Girlfriend’s hair was looking on-point, though.
So what I guess I’m getting at is that today may be difficult for you…but at least the universe isn’t making fun of your fine motor skills. And on that note, I’ll announce the winner of the Amazing Grace giveaway.
Cynthia Anne Peyson is the winner!!! She will receive an Amazing Grace gift set, which includes Perfumed Buffing Wash, Perfumed Shave Gel, and Perfumed Body Spritz.
Thanks to Philosophy for making this giveaway possible! Check back later today for the next contest announcement.
