Sorry I’m so late spreading this good news. Late last week, Land’s End announced their Friends & Family sale – with a coupon for 30% off (enter promo code FAMILYFIRST at checkout). I took that as a sign from the heavens that I should invest in a new winter coat…and scarf…and gloves. Oh hell, I bought a skirt too. All in all, I ended up saving $93!
What I love about Land’s End is that their women’s clothes come in regular, petite, tall and plus sizes. I’m barely 5’2″, so I really appreciate the wide range of sizes.
The sale originally ended yesterday, but today they announced the savings were being extended until midnight tonight.
Here are the goodies that UPS is scheduled to deliver to my door by week’s end:

At Christmastime, I agonized over what to get my son’s daycare teachers. There are 12 of them – and even though he has his two main teachers, they all have interaction with him and take excellent care of him. So I needed to buy 12 gifts to show my appreciation, without breaking the bank. $10 each seemed doable, except that most gifts under $10 are utter crap and you’d rather give nothing at all than give someone a $10 junk present.
After almost settling on an uninspired gift (it was so blah, I can’t even remember what it was), Bath & Body Works had a sale on its 3-Wick Candles: 2 for $22. The 3 Wick Candles are a good size (14.5 oz) and usually $20 each, so this was a steal. I snatched up 12 candles in holiday scents for $132—and saved $108! It’s true that I went over my $10 per gift limit (only by $1), but it was okay because I also scored free shipping—and the candles conveniently showed up on my doorstep in mint condition. So it all evened out. But most important, the teachers LOVED their candles and raved for months about how wonderful they smell and how long they last.
So why am I running my mouth and telling you this old story? Well, Bath & Body Works is having the same sale now and I wanted to share the great news.
Mother’s Day is coming up. It’s also prime time for baby and bridal showers right about now. Better yet, why not treat yourself? You deserve it. There are a lot of new spring/summer scents that sound amazing—like Gelato, Lemon Mint Leaf, Garden Bouquet, Peach Bellini, Lakeside, Caribbean Escape and Sicilian Orange—to name a few.
Get free shipping with any purchase of $50 or more. Enter promo code BURN50—but, hurry, because that deal is only good today. The 2 for $22, 3-Wick Candles deal ends on April 21, 2013. No coupon needed for that.
This post title is actually misleading, as many sales have already started. Peruse the list below and let me know if there’s any deals/sales you know about that I’ve missed.

I’m no pro makeup artist. But there’s one beauty technique that I’ve got down pat – the elusive cat eye. It requires patience and a steady paw…but once you put in a little practice, a ferosh fe-lined eye isn’t far off.
Besides practice, high-quality/easy-to-use products are the key to this look. I used three CoverGirl products to achieve this purr-fect cat eye. It was easy, breezy and beautiful – if I do say so myself. Here’s how I did it:
1) Apply the silver end of CoverGirl Smokey ShadowBlast – Onyx Smoke all over your lid – from the lash line and up past the crease. Also use it to trace the inner corner of your eye to make your peepers pop.
2) Line the top lid using CoverGirl LiquilineBlast Eyeliner – Black Fire. At the outer corner of the eye, curve the line up slightly. Figuring out the angle of the “flick” can be kind of tricky, so here’s a tip: aim for the point where your brow ends.
3) Apply CoverGirl LiquilineBlast Eyeliner – Black Fire to the waterline of the lower lid.
4) Create fierce fringe with CoverGirl LashBlast Clump Crusher Mascara. This mascara is amazing, y’all. It features an innovative curved brush that lets you load up the volume without the clumps, even after 30 strokes!
See how simple it is? With these three CoverGirl products, you can go from “I don’t know how” to MEOW!
Wanna re-create my look? Shop the P&G eStore and get $3 off two CoverGirl products OR get a FREE Cat Eye Look (which includes LiquilineBlast Eyeliner – Black Fire, Smokey ShadowBlast – Onyx Smoke, and LashBlast Volume Mascara – Very Black), when you spend $69.
And check out additional offers on CoverGirl’s Facebook page.
