Deluxe Sample of Kate Somerville ExfoliKate: Free with $25 Purchase at Sephora

Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment is a clinical-strength exfoliant that decongests stubborn skin and improves a blah complexion. The active fruit enzymes eliminate dead skin cells, diminish bacteria and reveal a healthy, rosy glow. According to Kate, it’s the next best thing to visiting her Los Angeles clinic – and it’s especially effective in combating acne and discoloration.

ExfoliKate comes in the most genius jar; it dispenses out the ExfoliKate without letting air in. Which means the product stays fresh longer. And ExfoliKate isn’t a time or labor intensive treatment. Once or twice a week, apply in an even layer, leave on for 20-30 seconds, wait for the tingly burn (good pain!) and wash off.

I noticed dramatically softer and smoother skin after just one treatment!

Anew, I Think I Love You

If you’ve been visiting Spoiled Pretty for any length of time, you know that I am an exfoliating fool. With all of the buffing and scrubbing I do, it’s a major miracle I don’t look like the Crypt Keeper by now. When it comes to exfoliation, I’m like an archeologist with ADD, relentlessly digging for buried treasure. And I’m not satisfied until my flaky façade is polished baby butt smooth.

I’ve tested an excessive amount of exfoliants, so it takes a serious scrub to even get my attention. But I recently tried a product so mind-blowing that it has my undivided attention. is so rocking my world right now, I can’t even stand it.

Anew Clinical Advanced Dermabrasion is a skin system that delivers varied levels of exfoliation. The dual-barrel bottle is topped with a dial that allows you to increase the intensity of the micro-crystal formula, offering multiple strength polishing in one package.

To use, you simply apply to clean, wet skin. Starting with Level 1, use Anew Clinical Advanced Dermabrasion 2–3 times a week for 2 weeks before proceeding to the next level. After completing all 4 levels (8 weeks) stop using for 2 to 3 weeks and then start over at Level 1.

I noticed a dramatic improvement in my skin after just one use, and you know how much I enjoy immediate results. I used it before a date night dinner with Mr. Spoiled Pretty and let me tell you…my moisturizer and foundation melted onto my skin like buttah.

This is an ideal product for anyone with dry skin, rough skin texture, fine lines, enlarged pores, uneven skin tone and dark age spots.

Avon Anew Clinical Advanced Dermabrasion gets two very enthusiastic thumbs up. If you’re like me and like to scrub a dub dub it up, you must purchase this product – no ifs, ands or baby butts about it.

The Body Electric: Clarisonic’s New Plus Skin Care System & Spot Therapy Kit

Your body may not be a wonderland yet…but wait until you get your mitts on the new Clarisonic Plus Skin Care System & Spot Therapy Kit.

This enhanced Clarisonic Plus system has a third speed, along with a new Spot Therapy Brush Head for the body. Sonic frequency moves Clarisonic’s soft, gentle brush back and forth at more than 300 times per second to clear pores – loosening dirt, makeup, and oil.

Clarisonic is proven to remove more dirt (sebum and makeup) than traditional, superficial cleansing, allowing your serums and moisturizers to absorb better. Skin is left soft and pampered without harsh abrasion or chemicals. Clarisonic reduces dry skin patches, oily areas, and blemishes and removes 6 times more makeup than traditional cleansing. Pore size, fine lines, and wrinkles appear smaller.

The Clarisonic Spot Therapy Brush Head takes sonic cleansing beyond the face to gently cleanse and exfoliate; smooth rough, dry patches; and prepare the skin to better absorb skincare products. It is ideal for use on the décolleté, hands, arms, elbows, and feet.

Enhance your results with the complementary Refining Skin Polish for the body; this intensive, 3-tier refining solution exfoliates, firms, and smoothes the skin, delivering radiant, silky-soft results.

Olay Body Wash Plus Stage Five Clingers

A few months ago, Marie Claire named Olay Body Wash plus Spa Exfoliating Ribbons as one of the ’25 Beauty Products That Will Change Your Life.’ I really enjoy Marie Claire and typically trust their reviews, but this was straight up hyperbole.

Olay Body Wash plus Spa Exfoliating Ribbons isn’t the worst body wash that I’ve ever tried, but it by no means changed my life. The creamy lather foams up nicely and feels silky on skin. The ocean-y fragrance is pleasant, and subtly lingers. But, unfortunately, the scent isn’t the only thing that likes to stick around.

The microbeads don’t dissolve, like you might expect them to. Rather, they cling to your skin…so when you’re rinsing clean, you need to check (and double-check) yourself to make sure the blue beads aren’t hiding anywhere. And be prepared for your shower/tub to look like Smurfette just got done exfoliating in there instead of you.

There are plenty of better body washes on the market, so I can’t recommend this one. Even though it costs less than $6, I still expect to be impressed. Yes, Olay Body Wash plus Spa Exfoliating Ribbons cleanses skin and gently buffs skin. But, then again, so does a bar of Dove soap and a washcloth…and this combo won’t leave stage five clingers littering your shower floor.
