I've been searching for some cat eye sunnies for forever. On a whim, I bought these Wildfox Catfarer Sunglasses from Shopbop - hoping that they wouldn't look too cartoonish.
Even though I was afraid they'd be too large, I'm digging the oversized frames. They make a statement without overwhelming my face. And the cat eye shape is subtle, so it's not CONTINUE READING
Now that I have two kids - and the youngest being 6 weeks old - I needed to get better acquainted with quick-dry nail polish options. I hardly have time to do anything, let alone a DIY - so I needed to find some lacquers that fit my new lifestyle.
Yesterday, while going my grocery shopping, I picked up Revlon CONTINUE READING
I'm home on maternity leave, so I spend an inordinate amount of time nursing my daughter, burping her and changing her diapers - all the while, watching hours of QVC. I don't know what it is, but I am mesmerized by QVC demonstrations. If I'm channel surfing and I happen to land on QVC, it's damn near impossible for CONTINUE READING

When I entered the store, I was greeted my a really nice saleswoman who asked me what I was CONTINUE READING

LashBlast Length Mascara is currently in stores and online, but Smoky ShadowBlast and ShineBlast Lip Gloss won’t be available until January 2010!
COVERGIRL Smoky ShadowBlast ($7.49) is a smoky eye tool plus makeup artist all in one shadow stick. Available in six expertly coordinated shade duos with uniquely desgined ends, Smoky ShadowBlast lets you create a traditional or colorful smoky eye in two easy steps. The new, double-ended stick features expertly coordinated shades and two precision applicator tips – one for base, one for liner/crease – so you can easily apply, smudge and blend shadow to a smoky perfection. “Smoky ShadowBlast takes the fear out of creating a smoky eye; it’s a professional look that’s easy for anyone to create,” says P&G Global Creative Design Director, Pat McGrath.
Here’s what I say…they’re awesome! I got my greedy lil paws on some early samples of the Smoky ShadowBlasts early – and I luvre them. I don’t know why no one thought of this before. Hell, I should have thought of this…it’s ingenious. These chubby crayon-esque shadows are simple to use, and really deliver what they promise – a sexy smoky eye that looks like you had help. Prep the lid with a little primer before applying the color to help sustain the smokiness all day/night. Plus, the lighter shade of the Bronze Fire Smoky ShadowBlast doubles as a totally badass highlighter when applied to my cafe au lait cheekbones.
COVERGIRL ShineBlast Lip Gloss ($7.49) has a patented ShineSculpt™ applicator hugs the contours of lips and boasts a tapered tip for precise shaping and sculpting, while 16 shimmering shades deliver a brilliant, glossy finish and perfectly polished pout. The lip hugging applicator delivers more shine in a single swipe than the leading gloss, which results in 4x more noticeable shine vs bare lips.
Wouldn’t these be the best stocking stuffers for your makeup gaga girlfriends? And how awesome is it that you’d be giving them something they won’t be able to buy in stores until 2010?

Last week, I posted this amazing video – demonstrating the staying power of Stila Smudge Pots. I received such an overwhelming response to the video, I decided to partner with Stila for a giveaway – so that you can experience, firsthand, why I’m so enamored with this product.
This week, I’m giving three lucky ladies the chance to win a pair of Stila Smudge Pots (in Black and Bronze)!!!
To enter the giveaway, send an email to email@example.com. Be sure to include your full name and mailing address. The subject line should read “Stila Smudge Pots Giveaway.” The contest ends at midnight (EST) on Sunday, October 18th. Three winners will be chosen at random from among the entrants. On Monday, October 19th, I’ll announce the winners’ names. Please, only one entry per person; duplicate entries will not increase your chances of winning. Contest is open to U.S. residents.
The limited edition, all-in-one palette features: cream to powder black liner, brow shaping powder, four eyeshadows and a top coat. The major selling point of this palette (which just so happens to have the chicest packaging eva) is the topcoat. In the tray, it deceivingly looks like shimmering snow, but it applies super sheer.
When you layer it on top of shadow, it goes all Emeril on you. BAM…in an instant, it kicks the color up a notch by imparting a sparkly, iridescence. Use the topcoat with any of the palette’s shadows – or in tandem with the any of the shadows in your makeup arsenal. I swear – it gives old products new life.
Dior Jazz Club Eye Palette and your lids should make beautiful music together. Don’t fight fate. Pick it up now at Nordstom.
