Remember how I was telling you about all of the goodies I was stockpiling in my Ann Taylor virtual cart? Well, I just made quite the purchase (hopefully, Mr. Spoiled Pretty isn’t reading this and he’ll think that new, cute clothes just magically appeared in our closet). I was frugal all summer – and I really do need some new Fall staples – so this was my gift for being good and practicing some retail restraint these past few months.
I scored a HUGE discount on this purchase thanks to Ann Taylor’s Fall Fashion Weekend, which starts today and ends Monday, September 10. Get 30% off EVERYTHING (even sale) by using the promo code FALL30!
Here’s what I snatched up:
White Leopard Camp Shirt
A-Line 3/4 Sleeve Sweater
Stretch Twill Pencil Skirt
Static Print Cropped Pants
If you end up taking advantage of the sale, let me know what you buy in the comments section. Happy shopping!

I’m absolutely obsessed with Ann Taylor’s Fall 2012 collection, which is “inspired by the continental glamour of 1960s Paris.” Last month, I posted about the ad campaign – starring Kate Hudson. The first images definitely had me intrigued. And now that the full collection has been revealed, I must admit that the teasers did not disappoint. I’m loving the black and white, pops of color, animal prints, and the sweet, feminine touches (i.e., lace and bows). It’s like someone at Ann Taylor climbed inside of my brain and created a collection just pour moi.
Here’s what’s on my ultimate wardrobe wish list:
This Tie Back Short Sleeve Sweater ($58) is business in the front, cocktail party in the back.
The White Leopard Ponte Dress ($138) is a must-have. And check out the edgy, exposed zipper on the sleeve. Genius, right? Rock on with your bad self, Kate! CONTINUE READING

Hot ass heat waves – like the ones I’ve been suffering through in Philly – are enough to make you want to grab your magical remote control and fast forward to the Fall. And now that Ann Taylor just debuted their latest ad campaign of Kate Hudson modeling the Fall 2012 collection, I‘m all “Screw this summer shit.” CONTINUE READING
Last week, Mary Kay turned up the heat in Miami during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim by glamming up guests at the Lifestyle Retreat Lounge. Celebrity makeup artist and Mary Kay Glam Squad member Marissa Nemes gave attendees a sizzling Miami look, transforming lashes and lips with Mary Kay’s new Lash Love Waterproof Mascara in Black and NouriShine Plus Lip Gloss in two of the season’s hottest shades – Rock ‘N’ Red and Mango Tango. To complete the look, Mary Kay Glam Squad member and wardrobe stylist Lawrence VonRumpf decked out attendees in hot off-the-runway fashions and accessories.
Sounds like fun, right? Wish you were there? Of course…me too! But if you weren’t able to join Mary Kay in Miami, it’s okay – because we’re bringing the “neon” runway look to you! As a Mary Kay Glam Squad blogger, I’m hosting a HOT giveaway – and one of you lucky ladies will win a Miami-inspired look! CONTINUE READING
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale starts today and here’s what’s on my wish list:
bebe Mixed Media Trench Coat, $119 (after sale: $198)
When I received the Anniversary Sale catalog a few weeks back and spied this trench, it was love at first sight. The faux-leather sleeves are FIERCE and I can’t resist an asymmetrical zipper, so if this ends up fitting (sadly, it doesn’t come in Petite sizes), I’m bringing this bad girl home.
DV by Dolce Vita ‘Folly’ Bootie, $66.90 (after sale: $99.95)
Again…another love-at-first-glance situation (it was also in the catalog). Give me a haircalf bootie in an animal print with an exposed zipper and I’m a happy gal. I don’t really need this boot, but I want it. Truly, madly, deeply.
Hue Denim Leggings, $25.90 (after sale: $39)
Come fall and winter, I live in leggings – and Hue makes some of the highest quality, affordable and fashion forward styles. I already own two pairs of these leggings and I love them (my mom and sister own pairs too). What makes them a must-have is how they suck you in and make your legs and butt look firm and toned. It’s like a denim legging pair of Spanx. Speaking of Spanx… CONTINUE READING
