Last week, Mary Kay turned up the heat in Miami during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim by glamming up guests at the Lifestyle Retreat Lounge. Celebrity makeup artist and Mary Kay Glam Squad member Marissa Nemes gave attendees a sizzling Miami look, transforming lashes and lips with Mary Kay’s new Lash Love Waterproof Mascara in Black and NouriShine Plus Lip Gloss in two of the season’s hottest shades – Rock ‘N’ Red and Mango Tango. To complete the look, Mary Kay Glam Squad member and wardrobe stylist Lawrence VonRumpf decked out attendees in hot off-the-runway fashions and accessories.
Sounds like fun, right? Wish you were there? Of course…me too! But if you weren’t able to join Mary Kay in Miami, it’s okay – because we’re bringing the “neon” runway look to you! As a Mary Kay Glam Squad blogger, I’m hosting a HOT giveaway – and one of you lucky ladies will win a Miami-inspired look! (more…)
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale starts today and here’s what’s on my wish list:
bebe Mixed Media Trench Coat, $119 (after sale: $198)
When I received the Anniversary Sale catalog a few weeks back and spied this trench, it was love at first sight. The faux-leather sleeves are FIERCE and I can’t resist an asymmetrical zipper, so if this ends up fitting (sadly, it doesn’t come in Petite sizes), I’m bringing this bad girl home.
DV by Dolce Vita ‘Folly’ Bootie, $66.90 (after sale: $99.95)
Again…another love-at-first-glance situation (it was also in the catalog). Give me a haircalf bootie in an animal print with an exposed zipper and I’m a happy gal. I don’t really need this boot, but I want it. Truly, madly, deeply.
Hue Denim Leggings, $25.90 (after sale: $39)
Come fall and winter, I live in leggings – and Hue makes some of the highest quality, affordable and fashion forward styles. I already own two pairs of these leggings and I love them (my mom and sister own pairs too). What makes them a must-have is how they suck you in and make your legs and butt look firm and toned. It’s like a denim legging pair of Spanx. Speaking of Spanx… (more…)
The much anticipated Old Navy $1 Flip Flop One Day Sale is finally here!

A few weeks ago, I posted a pic of this Max & Cleo dress I was planning to wear to a wedding and solicited your advice for complementary shoes. The resounding consensus was that I should jazz it up with a pair of colorful kicks. But while I loved many of your shoe recommendations, my wide, flat feet started to hurt just looking at those stilettos. So I decided to use your suggestions as style inspiration and search for similar heels in a less intimidating height. Unfortunately, 99.9% of the cute heels out there are too narrow for my Flintstone feet, not to mention ridiculously sky high. Seriously, how women can stand in these things, let alone stroll? Inquiring minds want to know.
I went to Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, DSW, Lord & Taylor and Bloomingdale’s – and came up with nada. I was this close to switching the dress – all because I couldn’t find appropriate shoes – until I happened upon the Sofft Ramona II Pump. (more…)
Kate Spade, why do you do this to me? I was trying to save money. This peplum pretty is gonna haunt my dreams.
The Kate Spade leopard ikat randie top is currently a wallet-busting $268. But hopefully my size will stay in stock long enough to see a sale.
Many of you visit Spoiled Pretty for my beauty and fashion advice. But now it’s my turn to solicit style suggestions from you.
In a few weeks, I’m attending a friend’s wedding and this is the dress I’m wearing. It’s by Max & Cleo and I snatched it up for just $25 at Bloomingdale’s this past weekend (it’s originally $143). I concede that the dress doesn’t look like much on the model, but it looks great on me (and hides a multitude of sins) – hurrah! Anyways, I need shoes to complete the ensemble and I’m absolutely perplexed. Should I rock a pair of nude pumps? Or maybe inject a pop of color? I need your help!
To weigh in, leave your two cents in the comments section. Thanks in advance – and I’ll be sure to post what I ultimately pick.
