Holiday Gift Guide 2012: MOR ‘Essential Moments – Honey Nectar’ Set

MOR 'Essential Moments - Honey Nectar' SetSince discovering MOR Cosmetics last year during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I have been obsessed with their products. So my holiday bath and body gift picks are the products that introduced me to the brand. The MOR ‘Essential Moments – Honey Nectar’ Set ($25) includes a Soap Bar, Body Butter and Hand Cream. The Honey Nectar scent is one of the best fragrances I’ve ever smelled. I’m not a big honey fan, but the scent isn’t so literal; it also features notes of brown sugar, candied almonds and warm vanilla milk.

Holiday Gift Guide 2012: Georgetown Cupcake

In 2010 when I was pregnant with Westley, I craved cupcakes. So right before I gave birth, my sister – who lives in DC – told me that she would be bringing me a dozen cupcakes from Georgetown Cupcake, to celebrate. I was excited to finally meet my little man, but I was also absolutely giddy about getting my taste buds all over those cupcakes.

Long story short: I had a C-section which left me with little to no appetite for a few days post-surgery. I didn’t want the cupcakes to go to waste, so I offered them to my friends and family who visited me in the hospital and kept one for myself – and after my appetite returned, I devoured what was quite possibly the BEST.CUPCAKE.EVER.

So when I was putting together Spoiled Pretty’s Holiday Gift Guide 2012, I immediately thought of Georgetown Cupcake. The cupcakes are $2.75 each, $15 for a half dozen and $29 for a dozen. If you don’t live near one of their five bakery locations (D.C.; Bethesda, MD; N.Y.C.; Boston; and L.A.), you can have them shipped to your doorstep (as long as you’re within the Continental U.S.).
