For the second consecutive year, my Philadelphia Phillies have made it to the World Series. So to mark the occasion, Amber from Beauty Blogging Junkie – a native Philadelphian, who happens to live in the land of the Yankees – and I have teamed up for a baseball-inspired, beauty double header.
We’re shining a spotlight on big league beauty products that step up to the plate and knock the cover off the ball. Since there are nine dudes on a baseball field, Amber and I have chosen nine categories – and we’re giving shout-outs to products that hit it out of the park.
So get your head in the game and read on for some phantastic product recommendations…

Last night, I asked you to share your Halloween photos. Boy, you ladies act fast!
Spoiled Pretty reader, Sharon (above), was a porcelain doll for Halloween. To create the look, she used:
MAC Studio Sculpt foundation in NC15
L’Oreal Color Juice Stick in Island Punch
Covergirl LashBlast Length mascara in Very Black (On top of CVS false lashes)
Maybelline Superstay 24 HR concealer in Ivory
Make Up For Ever Flash Color Pot in Fuschia 5
I even had people sending me photos on Twitter. @rockinhair7 blew my mind with her Edward Scissorhands look.
Can you even get over this “unzipped” look from Spoiled Pretty reader, Lee? She threw this makeup together in one hour, using products purchased at Hot Topic and Target. “The shiny gore bit is made out of red pigment mixed with clear lip gloss,” she says. “But hey, Halloween is for being creative!”
SP reader, Ashleigh, was Sookie Stackhouse for Halloween. In the second pic, you can see her “Bill bites!”
Thanks for all the great photos, everyone!
My MAC pals are on The Early Show, this morning, showing off some super-fierce Halloween makeup looks. I didn’t plan on doing anything special or going anywhere for Halloween this year, but these pics have me wanting to try my hand at the zebra look and just crash a party.
