Brace Yourself For This Week’s Sales at

I was very tempted to keep the following information to myself…

Ideeli is having some off-the-chain sales this week…and some of my favorite handbag designers are all up in the mix. I’ve been craving a new bag lately, so I think I might just break down and adopt a new one. Just don’t tell Mr. Spoiled Pretty – he seems to think that when you acquire a new purse, you have to throw an old one out. I know, I know…but he’s a man and, therefore, knows no better.

Anyway, when it comes to handbags, I’m a little cutthroat. I considered keeping these amazing Ideeli sales a secret, lest I risk a lot of competition come buying time. But I’ve never been one to hold out on y’all, so I’m going to share the deets. And hopefully, my good deed will be rewarded with the extra yummy handbag I’ve been jonesing for.

Jenni Kayne Mommy Bag: Free With Purchase of $75 at has garnered quite a following for its fabulous collaborations with top fashion designers, and now for the first time, sister site is partnering with fashion designer and new mom, Jenni Kayne, who designed a chic, portable bag filled with eco-friendly products for mom and baby. The stylish Mommy Bag, available for a limited time exclusively at with a purchase of $75 or more, is a roomy canvas pouch that Jenni created as a compact yet practical alternative to a more traditional diaper bag.

Kayne, who welcomed her first child Tanner late last year, wanted to create something large enough to store products for a quick outing and small enough to stash tidily into a stroller or slouchy handbag. The washable, durable bag has elasticized pockets for bottles and snacks and offers a reliable way to keep baby travel basics separate and accessible.

“When I was pregnant I was looking at diaper bags and thought there should be more options for busy new moms,” says Kayne. “Diaper bags can be so cumbersome and sometimes when you’re going out for a walk or need to run a quick errand with a baby, a giant bag doesn’t make anything easier.”

This functional, fashionable design by Jenni Kayne is valued at over $50 and comes filled with full and deluxe-sized samples for Mom and Baby, many from the Green and Natural store:

* Philips Avent Silicone Orthodontic Pacifiers, 0-3 months
* Philips Avent 4oz/125ml Bottle BPA-Free, 0-3 months
* Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Buttermilk Lotion
* Bellybar Vanilla Dreams Milkshake
* Bellybar Baby Needs Chocolate Bar, Chocolate Toffee Crisp
* Seventh Generation Diaper
* California Baby Calendula Cream
* California Baby Super Sensitive Shampoo & Bodywash
* Earth’s Best TenderCare Chlorine-Free Diapers & Wipes
* Earth’s Best TenderCare Chlorine-Free Baby Wipes Resealable Travel Pack
* Susan Brown’s Baby Moisturizing Hand Sanitizer

Spoiled Pretty Sneak Peek: Felix Rey for Target!

Target is partnering with two of my favorite handbag designers, Lily Band and Sulaika Zarrouk, to launch a limited-edition handbag collection – Felix Rey for Target.

This chic and incredibly-priced collection is the eighth handbag launch in a series of limited-time-only accessories at Target.

The Felix Rey for Target collection will be available at most Target stores nationwide and online at March 29 through June 14, 2009.

Felix Rey handbags have become a staple on the arms of celebrities, editors and industry insiders alike. Now, stylish women across the country can experience these affordable vibrant designs with the exclusive Felix Rey for Target collection. “Our collection offers whimsical and classic handbags for the fashion forward with a discerning eye,” says Band. “We were so excited to design a value-priced beach-inspired collection for Target!” says Zarrouk. “Our line combines form and functionality, and will take women from the boardroom to the beach in style.”

Inspired by the beach, the Felix Rey for Target collection includes clutches, totes and oversized bucket bags in lightweight canvas and straw, all perfect additions for a summer ensemble or day by the seaside. Gold hardware including shell detailing, studs and toggles, as well as patent and metallic trim add a sophisticated touch to the fanciful collection. Oversized ric-rac prints mimic the ocean, while sequin fish appliqués and coral raffia embroidery add sparkle and color.

The Felix Rey for Target collection ranges in price from $19.99 to $49.99, in comparison to their high-end line which can cost as much as $800.

Star-Crossed Lovers: Me and This Beautiful People Handbag

Backstage at Baby Phat, I was in stylish company. And I don’t mean Kimora Lee Simmons. I’m referring to my Grown Up Yone handbag by Beautiful People. The crisp apple green patent (Umantao) does double duty; this chic shade is neutral enough to accessorize any ensemble, yet provides a pop of color when you’re sporting the New York uniform – basic black.

The spacious bag – complete with two cavernous side pockets – stealthily held and hid my Fashion Week arsenal (Blackberry, camera, dictaphone, flip cam, notepad, pens, wallet and a pair of ballet flats) without being cumbersome or appearing bulky. It’s perfect for the fast-paced fashionista who lives out of her handbag. Trust me when I tell you that there’s room for your entire life in the interior of the Grown Up Yone, with space to spare.

The Grown Up Yone is so sophisticated and timeless, that it should come as no surprise that Beautiful People’s newest collection was inspired by the greatest love story of all time. Featuring “austere feminine substance with a hint of Shakespearean roses and soft organic contours,“ the Spring 2009 Capulet Collection also includes Juliet, Lady Capulet and Tybalt.

“We are a family business and our goal is to create a legacy of our own to share with women of the world. These trendy fashion accessories have been customized to attract women of panache. Our bags are simply, beautifully, different,” says designer Johanna Boccardo.

The collection’s Little Rose handbag mimics the organic curvature of a rose, and is perfect day or night accessory. The Flat Rose, with its sleek design and lustrous sheen, is the ideal evening clutch. Rosaline, a clean, classic tote, was designed for minimalists who desire a fashionable, yet functional carry-all.

At the end of the night when it came time to remove Grown Up Yone from my arm, I though to myself…

I should kill thee with much cherishing.
Good night, good night!
Parting is such sweet sorrow,
That I shall say good night till it be morrow.

Rinkel’s no-fear attitude led to a unique blend of classic and contemporary design elements, rekindling a love affair with high-drama style. Streamlined shapes in rich jewel-tones unite the collection; however, because, like fingerprints, every crocodile skin is unique, no two bags are exactly alike. And understanding the value of these beautiful creatures, Rinkel is registered with CITES, designating 5% of its annual sale earnings for the preservation of the species and its ecosystem in Columbia. Combining pure glamour with environmental responsibility, Rinkel celebrates bold beauty and gives a modern-day meaning to the term “crocodile rock.” This event is scheduled to start on Wednesday, March 4 at 11am for 1st Row members, noon for 2nd Row members. This event will run for 36 hours, or until it sells out.
