You can find everything you need to be confidently you this fall at your local Target for great prices. Look for special displays in the beauty section featuring more than 20 products from Neutrogena, Aveeno and RoC! If you haven’t already tried them, this is the perfect time to test out timeless and new beauty favorites.

Now through October 31, Target is offering 5% off on the following Aveeno products:

As someone who suffers from hyperpigmentation, I’m really excited to try the Positively Radiant products—so I’m going to make Target run later this week. I’ve been using Aveeno products for decades and I find them to be incredibly gentle yet effective…not to mention budget friendly. I’m going to take this opportunity to test some new things and stock up on some oldies-but-goodies to help me transition into my cold-weather beauty routine.

When you make your Target run—which I encourage you to do—look out for special displays in the beauty section and you won’t be able to miss it!

If you have trouble finding the products in the store, just ask the Target Beauty Concierge team for help!  They provide expert opinions and one-on-one advice.  You can find a team near you by entering your zip code here.

Don’t miss out. Visit your local target before the deals end on October 31!

This post is sponsored by NEUTROGENA®. I only recommend products I use personally and believe my readers will also enjoy!

Brighten Up with Dermalogica Tri-Active Cleanse

dermalogica tri-active cleanse cleanserAs many of you know, I am currently pregnant. Very pregnant, in fact. I am due to give birth a week from tomorrow…and I am so ready to meet my little girl.

This pregnancy has been rough. Not that my first pregnancy with my son, Westley, was easy – but this one makes that one seem like a walk in the park. I’ve had quite a few unexpected pregnancy complications and, on top of that, I’ve felt pretty unattractive these past nine months. They say when you’re carrying a girl, she “steals your beauty.” And in my case, the old wives was 100% true.

First, I grew muttonchops. Okay, maybe that’s an exaggeration. But they were pretty damned close. I’ve always had fine little hairs on the sides of my face. For years, it made me embarassed and I thought about ripping all of those baby hairs out – but then I thought about the upkeep factor and ruled it out. When the baby hairs morphed into muttonchops, I decided it was time for action. So I went to my local threading place and had those puppies waxed off.

Then came the melasma (aka ‘pregnancy mask’). Melasma is blotchy brown patches that develop on the skin due to hormonal changes. My case wasn’t as severe as some of the photos I’ve seen in Google images, but my uneven skin tone was enough to make me seriously self-conscious. There are a million products on the market right now that promise to address hyperpigmentation, but I was afraid to try something new for fear I’d break out (pregnancy also makes my skin more sensitive and reactive). So what’s a pregnant, blotchy beauty blogger to do? (more…)
