A few weeks ago, Philadelphia Style Magazine interviewed me for a feature on their website. Since I’m a beauty junkie and can’t resist the opportunity to dish on my favorite products, the story evolved into “Daneen Baird of Spoiled Pretty’s 6 Fall Beauty Picks.” As a Philly gal (born and raised) and a big fan of the magazine (I made the print edition back in 2008 – less than a year after launching this blog), it was awesome to come full circle and to be profiled again. Here’s how they introduced me…
Beauty blogger extraordinaire and Philadelphia resident Daneen Baird knows a thing or two about putting your best face forward. At the helm of the award-winning website, Spoiled Pretty, Baird is constantly ahead-of-the-trend and in-the-know when it comes to the latest and greatest in beauty products and cosmetics. From nail polish reviews to insider tricks of the trade, Baird dishes it all with a bit of sass.

Meet Cherry, the newest addition to the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15 family. She joins Advanced Treatment, Berry, Coral, Honey, Passion, Petal, Plum, Rose and (the original) Sugar.
Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15 blends reparative oils and waxes with real sugar, a natural humectant, for delectable and dependable moisture. This hydrating treatment nourishes, protects and plumps the lips – while providing essential, year-round protection from damaging UV rays.
I just love these balms. In fact, Passion and Berry have taken up residency in my purse lately.
I need another lip balm like I need a hole in the head. But when I saw Nivea’s Vanilla & Macadamia Kiss Lip Butter while picking up some essentials at CVS, I couldn’t resist tossing a little non-essential treat into my basket. The name is perfectly apt – it goes on like butta and smells like (you guessed it) a vanilla-macadamia mashup. Imparts good moisture and gives the lips a healthy sheen. It’s packaged into a slim tin that conveniently stows in your pocket or the smallest of handbags (I keep mine in the car console)…although I kind of wish it came in stick form. I’m no germaphobe, but sticks just seem more sanitary.
Nivea Lip Butter is also available in Smooth Kiss, Raspberry Rose Kiss, Caramel Cream Kiss and retails for around $4.

A few weeks ago, I received a massive package from the kind folks at L’Oreal Paris. Inside was mountain of makeup, skincare and hair products. There’s entirely too many products to get through in this one little post, so this will be the first in a series of L’Oreal Paris product reviews.
First up is my favorite: L’Oreal Paris Infallible Never Fail Lacquer Liner. The first time I used it, the pot went straight from my review pile right into my makeup bag – and it’s been there ever since. Whether you’re in the market for a new liner or you have a million (like me) and don’t think you need any more, L’Oreal Paris Infallible Never Fail Lacquer Liner is a must-have. It’s the bidness, y’all. And here’s why: CONTINUE READING
A few weeks ago Bite Beauty sent over two of their new Lush Lip Tints for me to try. They have a bunch of colors that look cute – I got cherry and black currant and I really like both. They are lightly scented, and go on really smooth. They’re hydrating but not super slick or sticky like some glosses can be. The formula also has some staying power, which was nice. And the shades are flattering and not too bright. CONTINUE READING
