Let’s be honest. Most Valentine’s Day gift sets are a little gimmicky. We’re in a recession – so buying a bunch of products that you’re not in love with doesn’t make much sense. If it wouldn’t set your pulse racing a month from now, set it down. Am I right?
Which brings me to The Love Set by NARS – a gift set so loveable, you don’t need a commercialized holiday to justify this purchase. This assortment of flirtatious hues help you achieve that coveted after-glow:
Pillow Talk Lip Gloss The unique, semi-sheer formulation provides serious shine and imparts a warm azalea pink hue. May be worn alone or atop any lipstick for a perfectly sexy pout.
Sex Machine Velvet Matte Lip Pencil Combining the convenience of a pencil with the application of a lipstick, this rich, pink-mauve lip pencil provides a matte, creamy finish that will last for hours.
Orgasm Blush This cult classic makes cheeks blush a perfect pinky-peach flush and subtly highlights with accents of golden shimmer.
Available exclusively at Sephora, this limited edition set is $49 (a $73 value).
Double desire. Love-me-two-times lips. A clever girl carries the conversation by making you believe in both sides of her story: Creamy, quixotic colour, and hard-line, super-sexy shine.
Introducing Cremesheen Lipglass, the perfect performance teammate to Cremesheen Lipstick, now in more drenched-with delicious shades than seasons past. For the 2009 Screen Actors Guild Awards, Anne Hathaway donned a beautiful white Grecian-inspired dress with gold detail at the neckline and waist. Celebrity makeup artist Kate Lee created a dramatic smokey eye by applying dark eyeliner to the upper lash line and blended it on the eyelid.
This year at the 15th Annual SAG Awards, Best Supporting Actress winner Kate Winslet accessorized her gorgeous Narciso Rodriguez gown and dazzling Chopard jewels with a little help from Fekkai, Lancome, Avon and Serge Lutens.
Kate’s glamorous low bun and side swept bang were created by Frederic Fekkai stylist Renato Campora using Fekkai products. To get the look, apply More All Day Density Styling Whip to wet hair for added volume. On the bottom portion only apply Coiff Magnifique Ultra-Light Finishing Creme to ends for a smooth blowout and to protect hair from the heat of styling tools. Using the Large Round Brush, blow dry hair and part on the right side. Once completely dry, use a one inch curling iron throughout hair to create tousled movement with dimension. Apply Technician Glaze to ends working it through with fingers for texture that is not too heavy. Tease the top of the head – ever so slightly – to create a touch of height. Next pull hair back into a low ponytail. Create a loose braid and twist it around to form a bun. Secure with pins. Making a braid helps to keep the bun from appearing to severe and gives it the soft modern touch.
