FusionBeauty has partnered with the SEVEN BAR Foundation (a non-profit organization that raises funds globally for microfinance institutes, helping women build their own businesses out of poverty), launching the “Kiss Away Poverty” campaign.
The campaign kicked off with a launch event in Los Angeles last night, hosted by Kim Kardashian at Sephora.
One dollar from each sale of FusionBeauty’s newly launched LipFusion products (sold at Sephora, Ulta and fusionbeauty.com) will go directly to helping women in the US living below the poverty line.

Pucker up to just-bitten lips with Twilight Beauty and DuWop’s co-branded Twilight Venom!
As the first product to be launched in Twilight Beauty’s new Luna Twilight cosmetic line, this concoction is a two-phase moisturizing lip stain that features a venom-laced lip conditioner on top and an intense shimmering crimson stain on bottom. These two elements can be used separately but work best when shaken together to blend. Control the color by using a little stain for a light lip flush or dab a drop of pure dark red for the full vampire effect.
“We are very excited to partner the best-selling technology behind the Venom products with the Twilight saga,” says Cristina Bartolucci, founder and Creative Director of DuWop. “In the movie, venom is the means by which Stephanie Meyer’s mortals become transformed into vampires. With a customizable ruby stain, Twilight Venom can let you play the part!”
Key ingredients such as argan oil, avocado oil, olive oil and Vitamin E leave lips looking and feeling lusciously soft. Argan oil is exceptionally rich in Vitamin E and essential fatty acids and is noted for its anti-aging effects. Both avocado and olive oils have regenerative and moisturizing properties to make lips supple. DuWop’s special venom blend of essential oils, including cinnamon, wintergreen and ginger, increase circulation and cause blood to rush to the surface of the lips, plumping them slightly.
Timed with the release of the latest installment of the Twilight series from Summit Entertainment, New Moon, Twilight Venom ($16) will be available September 15, 2009 at Dillards.com, Nordstrom.com, and TwilightBeauty.com. It is available NOW at sephora.com.
Brace yourselves, fellow Twilight fans…DuWop is unveiling its Twilight Lip Venom ($16) a few months early, but for a limited time (vampires may live forever, but this offer won’t).
Be transformed. Let the alchemy transcend.
This special limited edition Lip Venom is a sneak preview of our highly anticipated Twilight Venom, debuting this Fall. Lip Venom V is not your typical DuWop venom. Instead of a gloss, this is a shimmering crimson lip stain suspended in a venom-laced liquid lip conditioner with a super potent bite (watch out!), and contains argan, avocado, olive oils and vitamin E.
This product should be shaken before use to represent the blending of the human and vampire worlds and applied repeatedly until lips are plumped, revitalized and the desired intensity of color has been reached.
Only a limited number of Lip Venom V have been produced. Due to limited quantity and exclusivity of this offer, limit 2 per customer. Offer applies to one order per customer per household. Quantities limited. This one-time special offer ends July 31, 2009 at midnight (EST) or while supplies last.

If you are what you eat, then I guess you can call me Josie Maran Plumping Lip Gloss. Instead of irritants or stimulants which cause lips to temporarily swell, this gloss relies on gentle but effective marine collagen to pump-up pouts for lasting results. Available in six shimmery shades (if you buy one, make it Freedom – a sheer golden rose), Josie Maran Plumping Lip Gloss has a dulce de leche flavor that’s lip smacking delicious!
Every time I put it on, I get the urge to just lick it all off. And when I do (which is quite often), I don’t have to worry about what I‘m ingesting – because the gloss is formulated with organic and natural ingredients (including Josie’s signature ingredient, 100% pure organic Argan oil) and doesn’t contain parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrance, or phthalates.
Josie Maran Plumping Lip Gloss is available at select Sephora stores, sephora.com and josiemarancosmetics.com.
When it comes to a MAC products, my sister and I are drawn to them like moths to a flame. So when we visited the Willow Grove Mall a few days ago with Mama Spoiled Pretty, it was no surprise that we couldn’t escape without a visit to the MAC counter at Bloomingdale’s. What was supposed to be swift stopover ended up being a half-hour spending spree.
While Lauren let the makeup artist paint her eyes in hues of blue, I made a beeline for the lip glosses – swatching at least a dozen on my inner arm. And my low-maintenance mom looked on in awe, wondering how she birthed such product-addicted daughters. When Lauren’s makeover was complete, she joined me in playing with the glosses. I asked for her opinion of MAC Plushglass in Fulfilled, which I was seriously considering adding to my collection. “It’s sick,” she exclaimed. So I decided to buy it…and so did she.
Though it’s described as ‘full-blush creamy pink,’ I think that cantaloupe-y cream pink would be more accurate. As you can see in the photo, it wears super sheer – and inflates the lips without the burning sting that accompanies many lip plumpers.
I love this formula and adore this shade. And while my lip gloss collection is incalculable, I definitely feel like a void has been filled by Fulfilled. It will be my go-to non-shimmery gloss when I’m playing up my eyes, but I still want a come-hither kisser.
You could spend $42 for a .28 oz tube of Freeze 24-7 PlumpLips gloss here. Or you could spend $9.99 at your local Marshalls. Yesterday, while shopping the Willow Grove, PA Marshalls with Mama Spoiled Pretty, I spotted a basket full of PlumpLips near register #1.
About a year ago when I reviewed PlumpLips, my sister also fell in love with the lip plumper; but $42 was a little too rich for a college student’s budget. So, being the best big sis a girl could ever wish for, I tossed a tube into my mom’s cart and told her that Lauren would be forever grateful.
Today, Lauren called me to gush about her new gloss…marveling that A) I remembered how hard she tried to find it, on the cheap, circa 2007…and B) that I even recalled which shade she had been searching for (FirstFrost).
