I love me a dance movie – a la Dirty Dancing, Center Stage and Save The Last Dance*. I’ve even been known to willingly watch Honey, in its entirety, if the TV remote has gone into hiding and I’m too lazy to look for it. So I’m kind of keyed up for the upcoming Fame re-make (I am a child of the 80s, after all). But what I’m even more excited about is Sephora’s new Fame Brilliant Shine Lip Glosses.
As part of a partnership with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures (MGM), Sephora introduces five limited-edition glosses, now available in stores and online. With your lips dressed in these lustrous, non-sticky, moisturizing glosses, people will see you and cry.
You’ve got big dreams?
You want fame?
Well, fame costs.
And Sephora is where you start paying…in Hamiltons (or two Lincolns, or ten Washingtons).
Glosses are available in five scene stealing shades: In The Spotlight, Raw Talent, Rising Star, Standing Ovation and Starring Role. Baby, remember these names…
*What’s your favorite dance movie?
If you know me, you know that I’m a Neosporin junkie. I’m like the overzealous dad in My Big Fat Greek Wedding who sprays Windex on everything; except my weapon of choice is Neosporin. I put it on everything because, to me, Neosporin heals all wounds…and I feel nekkid if I don’t have a tube of it in my purse or on my person at all times.
So imagine my surprise (and excitement) to learn that the #1 doctor recommended brand of topical antibiotic treatment recently launched a new line of Lip Health products – timed perfectly to prepare your lips for the upcoming fall chill. They are hitting stores over the next few weeks and retail for around $4.99.
The new Neosporin Lip Health line includes 2 products:
* Daily Hydration Therapy nourishes and strengthens the lips by day, and has SPF 20.
* Overnight Renewal Therapy works during the body’s natural recovery process while you sleep, resulting in softer, smoother lips by day.
Both products have been clinically shown to restore visibly healthier lips in just 3 days. They have a patented technology that penetrates within the skin’s surface to restore healthier lips, unlike other products that simply provide a topical barrier.
Neosporin Lip Health products are available at nationwide food, drug and mass market chains.

I haven’t worn lip gloss in almost three weeks. This is huge news for a lip gloss junkie like me…and probably a new record.
If you’re a gloss loyalist who rarely breaks out anything in the stick variety, I’ve found a product that might just change your tune. For almost a month, I’ve had Clinique Colour Surge Butter Shine Lipstick on lockdown. It’s a sheer lipstick with gloss-like tendencies that “drenches lips in moist, lush color that glides on buttery-soft, and feels luxuriously smooth.”
I’m partial to Raspberry Rush, which is described as raspberry with a hint of gold pearl. Paired with a few swipes of black mascara, it lends my face an easy yet polished look.
Clinique recently enlisted the help of a dentist to identify lipstick shades that instantly make your teeth look less mother of pearl and more pearly white…and Raspberry Rush is one of them. These shades are proven to make teeth look at least one shade brighter – it was confirmed using a dental color guide. The Clinique brightening lipstick shades include:
*High Impact Lip Colour SPF 15 in After Party, Go Fig, Peach Pop and Red-y To Wear
*Colour Surge Butter Shine Lipstick in Cranberry Cream, Pink-a-Boo and Raspberry Rush
*Different Lipstick in Ice Bloom, Raspberry Glace and Shy
*Long Last Soft Shine Lipstick in Twilight Nude
I’ve found my perfect shade. Find yours at Clinique.com.
The new fall dress code for Giorgio Armani is “Greige.” Subtle but distinct tones accentuate a deep smoky eye contrasted with a fresh, luminous complexion and a muted, but intense lip color.
The star product of the season is the eye duo palette, which is dressed with an exotic Manta Ray pattern. Inspired by the precious and luxurious materials used in Giorgio Armani fashion accessories, the palettes offer a beautiful selection of color harmonies inspired by nature. The collection features subtle hues that offer a new take on the timeless color “Greige,” create by Giorgio Armani. The rich filtered eye tones, presented in a matte Greige compact, give depth and mystery to the eyes with subtle contours and highlights.
n° 1 – charcoal and Greige: the ultimate eye shadow combination for this season’s smoky eye
n° 2 – deep ocean blue and intense ocean green
n° 3 – pale lilac grey and luminous fuchsia
n° 4 – light blue stone and sandy beige
n° 5 – shimmering lilac pearl and pale green pearl
The “Greige” Eye Look by Linda Cantello: “Eye shadow is about shading. Rather than adding shadows, these muted tones contour and define, accentuating the eye and the pupil; the focus is actually on the eye itself. My favorite is the Greige and charcoal duo shade palette, but the pale lilac grey and fuchsia offer a really beautiful pop of color.”
* Use the Greige shade to contour the eye by sweeping the shadow along the crease of the eye. Follow by sweeping the shade under the lower lash line and over the upper lash line. Use charcoal to add intensity.
* A second option is to sweep the charcoal shadow over the whole lid and use the Greige to blend. For added intensity, apply midnight blue eyeliner along the upper lid lash line.
The Giorgio Armani Beauty Fall 2009 Collection is available for a limited time online at giorgioarmanibeauty.com and at selected fine department stores, including Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdales.
