After a million years of wearing cheap eyeglasses (you know…that 2 pair for $99 deal you get with an eye exam?), I decided to invest some more pesos in my peepers. A few weeks ago, I visited Eyeglasses Etc. in Flourtown, PA – where the Spoiled Pretty family are regulars. My mom brought me along to pick up a new pair of prescription sunglasses, and looking at their selection of fab frames made my discount frames seem, well, bargain basement. So I asked Harriet, the owner, to pick out some styles to flatter my face (she’s like an expert eyeglass matchmaker).
I am so pleased with my choice, and the price (my insurance covered a good chunk of the bill). If you’re in the Philadelphia area and are visually challenged, I encourage you to pop by Eyeglasses Etc. and tell them Spoiled Pretty sent you.
For this week’s installment of The Goods (Philadelphia Magazine’s shopping newsletter), I highlighted the top spring 2010 beauty trends, complete with recommendations for which products will help women pull them off beautifully and affordably. Sorry for the late notice on this, but I thought all of my fellow Philly gals should know about a fun MAC event going down this Friday and Saturday at the Willow Grove Bloomingdale’s.
On Friday, February 12 from noon-8pm and Saturday, February 13 from noon-8pm, my favorite MAC counter is hosting a Spring Colour Forecast event, inspired by MAC’s new collection.
Have a consultation with a MAC makeup artist and get a makeover in one of the “it” four color palettes for spring (pink, coral, plum or amber). This event is free, as there is no purchase minimum. But you MUST schedule an appointment. Make one soon – spots are filling up quickly.
Click here to see some of my swatches of the Spring Colour Forecast collection. If my pics don’t make you want to sign up for this event, something’s wrong with you.
If you are interested in attending, call my girls at the MAC counter to reserve your spot. And be sure to tell them that Spoiled Pretty sent you.
