Ann Taylor Friends & Family 2010

Just had to share that I made a killing this week at Ann Taylor, and you can too!

Right now, all sale merchandise at Ann Taylor is 25% off. Then, if you use the Friends & Family coupon in-store (or use the promo code FRIENDS) online, you get an extra 30% off.

Yesterday, I went to my local Ann Taylor store and spent way too much money. But considering how much I saved ($160) and how cute my future outfits are gonna be (super cute), I’m feeling pretty proud of myself. Then, today, I went to the Ann Taylor website to see what else I could snatch up – and I really lucked out. I picked up six of these v-neck long sleeved tees (originally $28 each) in a myriad of shades and guess how much I ended up paying after the discounts?

Can you believe it? Six tops for $37…and that includes the $9.99 shipping charge.

Damn, I’m good.

PS – the Friends & Family discount also applies at LOFT.

Felix Rey Bow Pochette Wallet

Last month, I bought this Felix Rey leopard print wallet at I was gonna tell you…but by the time it arrived and I fell truly, madly and deeply in love with my new purchase, the sale was already over and the wallet was no longer available.

But now the Felix Rey Bow Pochette Wallet is back up for grabs. It’s currently on sale at for 60% off!

Snatch it up, and act fast. Your cute wallet window of opportunity ends at 7pm ET today!

Bare Traps Trystine Boot: Stylish Answer to the Wide Calf Conundrum

If you have wide calves like me, you know how physically and emotionally exhausting it can be to shop for tall boots. The funny thing is that my calves aren’t even that fat. It’s as if shoe designers are making boots for anorexic appendages…or trying to embarrass all of us thick-legged sistas so that we struggle, in vain, zipping up a cute boot while all these other heffas simply just slip them on.

Anyway, I lucked out a few weeks ago when I purchased these super cute boots at I first spied the Trystine Wide Calf Boots by Bare Traps at my local DSW store, but they didn’t have my size in stock. So when I returned home, I logged onto and ordered a pair.

The store’s limited size offerings actually worked out in my favor because I used three coupon codes (920 for 10% off, SHIPR for free standard shipping, and 919 for 500 bonus points added to my DSW Rewards account). So the $59.99 boots ended up only costing me $53.96 – and I’m closer to my next rewards certificate.

The Trystine boot, while synthetic, look like the real thing. The heel is high enough to elongate and visually slim the leg, yet low enough that they’re comfortable all day long. The boot shaft circumference is roomy enough that I can wear them over leggings and skinny jeans. I can also pair them with skirts and dresses.

And for those of you lucky enough to have average sized calves, the Trystine Boot comes in a regular width too.
