Take The Eucerin Skin First Pledge!

This past Spring, I embarked on the 2012 Eucerin Healthy Skin Challenge. To kick off this partnership, I met with dermatologists from the Eucerin Skin First Council to develop my own personal skincare regimen (stay tuned for more progress updates and fabulous giveaways). But in the meantime, I want to encourage you to join me in taking the Eucerin Skin First Pledge:

I pledge to protect and defend my skin as it does me.

I pledge to make skincare a priority for me, my family, and my friends.

I pledge to treat my skincare more like healthcare.

Make a commitment to the health of your skin by taking the pledge and Eucerin will send you a free sample of Eucerin Daily Replenishing Lotion!

By pledging to put the health of your skin first every day, we make skincare a priority for our family, friends and ourselves. And when our skin is healthy, we feel confident, and it shows.

2012 Eucerin Healthy Skin Challenge: First Report

The 2012 Eucerin Healthy Skin Challenge that I announced back in April is fully underway. Last week I had my first consultation with Dr. Deborah Sarnoff, a NYC dermatologist. After discussing my skin issues, she recommended the following Eucerin products for me:

I’ll be starting my personal skincare regimen next week, which will continue throughout the year – all while tracking and sharing my progress with you. And because a journey is so much more fun with company, I’ll also be dropping some serious skincare knowledge on you and hosting fabulous giveaways.

You can get in on the action too. Visit the “Digital Derm” tab on the Eucerin Facebook page! This tab offers you the chance to ask one of Eucerin’s Skin First Council dermatologists a question about their skincare and find a local dermatologist near your home. And if you’re on Twitter, be sure to follow @EucerinUS.

So stay tuned, my pretty peeps.

(Don’t) Burn, Baby, Burn!

Hello Pretties!

A recent conversation about the importance of sun protection with my coworker got me thinking about my favorite products. First I should say that I am an American Cancer Society alum. Working there gave me a generally heightened awareness of the importance of sunscreen. However, it was my father in law’s skin cancer diagnosis last summer that really made me a passionate advocate for taking care of your body’s armor. (more…)

I’m Taking the 2012 Eucerin Healthy Skin Challenge

Since I became pregnant with my son, Westley, my body and skin dramatically changed. Much of the physical transformation was expected, but I was surprised and amazed by how pregnancy and motherhood changed me at the cellular level. And ever since then, I’ve been trying to figure my new self out.

One of my New Year’s resolutions was to see a dermatologist (I haven’t been in years). But I’ve been so busy and pressed for time that it keeps falling to the bottom of my OneNote to-do list. Luckily, fate intervened and I was asked to participate in the 2012 Eucerin Healthy Skin Challenge! (more…)

Lighten Up with Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution

Hyperpigmentation is the beauty bane of my existence. Every time I get a pimple, it leaves a dark mark in its wake – whether or not I pick at it. Luckily, I don’t get too many blemishes or else Cruella de Ville might want to make a coat out of me. But even one dark mark is a cause for concern and embarrassment – not to mention they can take months to lighten up.

One mark has taken up residence on my jawline for the past six months. It’s been there for so long, sometimes I just forget about it. That is until I see a photo of myself and cringe at how dark and mole-like it appears. So when a bottle of Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution showed up on my doorstep to review, I was very hopeful. Kiehl’s is one of my favorite skincare brands and their products have yet to disappoint, so I was very hopeful about this new innovation. (more…)
