A few weeks ago, I paid a visit to my local Bath & Body Works store. I was on the hunt for a tropical-smelling body wash that wouldn't break the bank, and B&BW seemed like a good place to search. When I entered the store, I was greeted my a really nice saleswoman who asked me what I was CONTINUE READING
Every month, my girlfriends from college and I get together for dinner in the Philadelphia area. We started this tradition about two years ago, and - of course - we have a great time catching up and reminiscing! Most of them are product-obsessed (like me), and most have been through some sort of make-up introductory when we became "of age" to wear it. Now CONTINUE READING
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is in full swing. July 18th through August 3rd, shoppers nationwide will participate in what has been an annual ritual since the 1960’s. Vacation days are planned around it, lines form in anticipation of it – and it’s not only for the pre-season savings on fall fashion and accessories.
During the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, the Cosmetics department provides their devoted beauty customers the opportunity to scoop up unique limited-edition items from CONTINUE READING
One of my all-time favorite products is Dermadoctor KP Duty, a dual action body exfoliator that combines the benefits of a chemical peel and microdermabrasion. It was developed to treat chicken skin - those little red bumps that many people get on their upper arms. But, for years, I've been using it to exfoliate my legs pre-shave. There's really no body exfoliator CONTINUE READING
I'm a huge fan of Quentin Tarantino and Pulp Fiction is one of my top 3 movies of all time (the others being The Sound of Music and The Godfather, Part II). Urban Decay is one of my top 3 beauty brands so I just about lost my mind when I heard about their limited-edition Pulp Fiction collection, which CONTINUE READING
If you’ve been wondering why the posts aren’t coming as fast and furiously as usual, there’s a really good explanation. Mr. Spoiled Pretty and I are expecting! Our little one will be joining the Spoiled Pretty family in August and we can’t wait to meet him or her (we don’t know yet, but will find out next month). Here’s a first look at the baby…
To celebrate this new stage in my life, I will be adding a new regular column to this blog. This column will spotlight beauty products, fashion, accessories and personal care items for moms and mommies-to-be. Look for that feature to start soon.
There are only a few more hours in 2009, so I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for your support of Spoiled Pretty…and ask about your beauty resolutions for 2010. What do you plan to do differently in the new year?
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I hope that you all have a beautiful day with friends, family and loved ones. I’d like to take this opportunity to tell each and every one of you how appreciative I am that you visit Spoiled Pretty and converse with me. This blog brings me more joy than I can articulate – and you are the reason I keep doing what I do.
So, from the bottom of my heart…thank you. Now go pig out!
For most sports, rough play comes with the territory. But this chick takes it to a whole nuther level. Yesterday, University of New Mexico soccer player Elizabeth Lambert (who is in dire need of some anger management counseling) decided to kick some ass in addition to the ball. She turned an innocent soccer match into something more resembling a cage fight.
Finally…72 years after Disney introduced its first princess (Snow White), a Black princess is born. I haven’t seen a Disney princess movie in the theater since 1989′s The Little Mermaid, but you best believe I’m gonna have my butt in a seat on December 11, 2009 for the motion picture debut of Tiana in The Princess and the Frog.
