Because my hair is over-processed, dry and damaged, I only wash it about once a week. Which means that when I “do” it, I better do it right – or else my hair will look jacked for the next seven days. Forget a bad hair day; it’s more like a bad hair week for me. So when I’m offered CONTINUE READING
This weekend, grab your girlfriends and go see The Best Man Holiday – which hits theaters today.
On Tuesday, I attended a screening with Mama Spoiled Pretty and her BFF, Estelle – and we had so much fun. We laughed hard and cried harder (this rom-com is also a tearjerker - so bring some tissues). In fact, I got so CONTINUE READING
As a beauty expert, women always ask me for tips on long-lasting, fresh-looking, flawless makeup. And my answer is always the same: make time to prime. It doesn’t matter whether you have 50 minutes or 5 minutes to apply your makeup – you should always take the time to prep your canvas to achieve the best result possible. You CONTINUE READING
Neutrogena announced today that Emmy nominated actress (and my homegirl) Kerry Washington has joined the brand’s current roster of talent. Smart move, right? I mean...just look at this goddess's face!
Not only will Kerry be one of the faces for Neutrogena - but for the first time ever, she will also serve as a “creative consultant” to the brand, sharing CONTINUE READING
As you probably know, I am a marketing professional by day, a beauty blogger by night and a mom/wife 24/7. But what you may not know is that, after graduating from college, I attended law school. Ultimately, I chose a different path - which makes me much happier. What doesn't make me happy, however, are the school loans I've CONTINUE READING

If you’ve been wondering why the posts aren’t coming as fast and furiously as usual, there’s a really good explanation. Mr. Spoiled Pretty and I are expecting! Our little one will be joining the Spoiled Pretty family in August and we can’t wait to meet him or her (we don’t know yet, but will find out next month). Here’s a first look at the baby…
To celebrate this new stage in my life, I will be adding a new regular column to this blog. This column will spotlight beauty products, fashion, accessories and personal care items for moms and mommies-to-be. Look for that feature to start soon.
There are only a few more hours in 2009, so I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for your support of Spoiled Pretty…and ask about your beauty resolutions for 2010. What do you plan to do differently in the new year?
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I hope that you all have a beautiful day with friends, family and loved ones. I’d like to take this opportunity to tell each and every one of you how appreciative I am that you visit Spoiled Pretty and converse with me. This blog brings me more joy than I can articulate – and you are the reason I keep doing what I do.
So, from the bottom of my heart…thank you. Now go pig out!
For most sports, rough play comes with the territory. But this chick takes it to a whole nuther level. Finally…72 years after Disney introduced its first princess (Snow White), a Black princess is born. I haven’t seen a Disney princess movie in the theater since 1989′s The Little Mermaid, but you best believe I’m gonna have my butt in a seat on December 11, 2009 for the motion picture debut of Tiana in The Princess and the Frog.
