Three of the hottest VMA 2015 makeups looks were created with Urban Decay Cosmetics. Kim Kardashian, Rebel Wilson and FKA Twigs rocked the matte trend. From red and pink to nude, and paired with either a smoky eye or bold brow, the matte lip brought serious #beautywithanedge to the red carpet.
KIM KARDASHIAN MAKEUP ARTIST: Mario Dedivanovic (my friend and former Spoiled Pretty contributor) INSPIRATION: “Kim is wearing a beautiful army green Balmain dress, with slicked-back, “wet look” hair. So we went with a simple but glowy “classic Kim K” look – a beautiful, softer version of her usual smoky eye and an understated, matte nude lip.” (more…)
My son Westley’s hair is as wild as he is. It’s wavy/curly, grows like a weed and he’s got this swirl pattern in front that creates one crazy cowlick. So if the person cutting his hair doesn’t know what they’re doing, he can end up looking ridiculous – which no parent wants for their child.
For a while, I was taking him to my hair stylist. But as Westley got older, my husband, Graham, took over the task. On the one hand, I was grateful to Graham for helping out – since most child grooming responsibilities land on my plate, by default. But on the other hand, Graham was taking him to a whole bunch of random barber shops/salons – so there wasn’t any consistency. Sometimes the cut/style would be good and sometimes it would be really bad (like once when he brought Westley home with a buzz cut).
So last month when Hair Cuttery contacted me about writing a review (as part of their #MyHCLook campaign), I immediately thought of Westley. Hair Cuttery sent me a $50 gift card to try their services, so I told Graham to get his hair cut too. I scheduled an appointment at a location near me with a stylist named Anna.
I didn’t accompany them to the appointment, but Graham relayed to me what a great experience they had at Hair Cuttery.
At first glance, the new Diane von Furstenberg ‘Secret Agent’ Bag looks like a sophisticated tote bag. But its ingenious design hides a secret…It easily transitions from day to night thanks to a detachable front pouch that becomes a chic clutch – which means that this secret agent is actually a double agent because it’s two stylish bags in one! And you can switch out the clutch to match your outfit or your mood.
