My hair grows like a weed. Unfortunately, the hair of which I speak is not on my head. My legs and underarms give my razor a workout. If I shave in the morning, by afternoon, I've got stubble. And forget about skipping days...unless I want to look like Sasquatch. Getting rid of the hair is not only expensive (I CONTINUE READING
The shower and my chemically-straightened hair are frenemies. Every seventh day when I wash my hair, they get along great in a shampoo Shangri-la. But the rest of the week, I employ a shower cap to keep the steam from undoing the silky straightness. I have been wearing shower caps since I was a child, and I’ve tried them CONTINUE READING

I've been searching for some cat eye sunnies for forever. On a whim, I bought these Wildfox Catfarer Sunglasses from Shopbop - hoping that they wouldn't look too cartoonish.
Even though I was afraid they'd be too large, I'm digging the oversized frames. They make a statement without overwhelming my face. And the cat eye shape is subtle, so it's not CONTINUE READING
Now that I have two kids - and the youngest being 6 weeks old - I needed to get better acquainted with quick-dry nail polish options. I hardly have time to do anything, let alone a DIY - so I needed to find some lacquers that fit my new lifestyle.
Yesterday, while going my grocery shopping, I picked up Revlon CONTINUE READING
I'm home on maternity leave, so I spend an inordinate amount of time nursing my daughter, burping her and changing her diapers - all the while, watching hours of QVC. I don't know what it is, but I am mesmerized by QVC demonstrations. If I'm channel surfing and I happen to land on QVC, it's damn near impossible for CONTINUE READING
I love me some Yankee Candle. I’m a connoisseur of candles and Yankee Candle makes some of the best. Their collection of 100+ candles smell more authentic than any other brand. Seriously, their scents are so spot-on that you could buy one without testing it and it would smell exactly as you’d imagine. My favorite scents include Lemon Lavender, Clean Cotton, Vanilla Cupcake and Vanilla Lime. I often check the website to see what new fragrances they have in store.
So today I did just that and was surprised by their newest collection: Man Candles. At first, I thought this had to be a late April Fool’s Day joke. Turns out the joke was on me because these are really candles available for purchase. CONTINUE READING

When I purchased my Audrey Brook Paris Flats from DSW in December, it was love at first sight…and since then, my affection only grows stronger. I’ve worn them almost every day for the past three months because they’re so classic and chic and go with just every outfit imaginable. And they’re super comfortable, like a pair of slippers. But what I adore most is that these $60 shoes are often mistaken for $200 Tory Burch Reva flats. CONTINUE READING
Mom joined Facebook? Commenting on all your photos, your friends’ photos, and embarrassing you a bit? Olay wants to celebrate the relationship between mothers and daughters and the humorous way it plays out on social media networks. So they enlisted blogger and comedian Eliot Glazer to create a cheeky new video just in time for Mother’s Day, that highlights the much-discussed, ever evolving relationship between mothers and daughters and the often embarrassing moments that ensue when mom joins your favorite social network.
The video helps support Olay’s effort to recognize one million moms by Mother’s Day through a new digital program, Beauty By Example.
