Thanks, In Style!
As I was prepping for my TV appearance last week, I decided to do a little experimentation. After using my Freeze 24/7 Freeze & Go to brighten the area under my eyes, I decided to dot it along my cheekbones. Looking in the mirror at the time, I didn’t notice a difference; but watching the video, I’m amazed at how much it accentuated my bone structure.
Freeze & Go is lightweight, silicone brightener that can be worn under or over makeup to fix fine lines, absorb excess oil, and reduces the appearance of enlarged pores and imperfections. And it comes in a portable, metallic, pod-like package, complete with a removable mirror and metered dosage – so that you can look fab on the fly!
It so irks me when celebs try to ‘outwit’ us regular folks. Every time I turn around, some superstar (or superstar wannabe) is playing the ‘deviated septum card’ to trade in their honker for a more sculpted schnoz.
What ticks me off even more is when they have the nerve to tell other women to be comfortable in their own skin and love themselves – then they sneak off to have elective surgery. I mean, if you’re not comfortable addressing it in the media – don’t discuss it. Or be completely honest about it and say, ‘I hated my old nose, so I got a new one” or “I’ll get a lot more work with this less ethnic nose.” But don’t insult my intelligence.

I have eczema. Not all year round. Just December through March. Sometimes, it’s just a minor annoyance. Other days, I’m covered with dry patches and the itchiness is almost too much to endure. Luckily, this year, I came prepared for battle – and I think I’ve found a product to help me defeat my dermatitis.
Skin MD Natural is a lotion that is immediately absorbed, hydrates without greasiness, and transforms the outer layer of skin into an invisible shield. What I love most about the product is that it protects my skin from the cold weather outside, dry heat inside, and harsh chemical irritants.
Every year, when my eczema starts to spread, I reach for the steroid cream – which I hate to do because it’s very tedious, you need to cover every dry patch to keep it under control, and your skin can become immune to the medicine. This is another reason why I am so excited about this product – it won’t cure my eczema, but it’ll control it so that steroids become a last resort.
I know some of you are thinking, “I don’t have eczema. What can Skin MD Natural do for me?” Because it helps skin to retain moisture and lasts for four hours (even after washing your hands), it is especially helpful to anyone who experiences dry skin – particularly, doctors and nurses who constantly wash their hands, or cancer patients who experience dry skin from cancer treatments.
A 4-ounce bottle (1-2 month supply, with daily use) is $25, but if you plan to buy in bulk, check out the Christmas Specials. And if you’re still not persuaded, Skin MD Natural offers samples so you can decide for yourself. For a $2 postage and handling charge, they’ll send you a two sample packets.
Skin MD Natural is available at drustores, supermarkets, and at skinmdnatural.com.

Since learning about Kate Somerville earlier this year, I have been eager to try her skin care products. For the past 15 years, Somerville has devoted her life to addressing skin wellness, and is responsible for the sublime skin of Hollywood’s most lovely leading ladies – including, Jessica Alba, Eva Mendes, Debra Messing, Sandra Oh, and Kate Walsh.
So when my friend, Tracy, sent me some products to try – I was beyond excited. You should have seen me tearing into the box…I probably looked like one of the “infected” from that movie, 28 Days Later.
Anyway, inside the package were Kate Somerville’s Gentle Daily Wash, Quench Hydrating Serum, and Line Release Under Eye Repair. As I don’t really have under-eye issues, I re-gifted the latter product to my grateful mother – who suffers from dark circles; and after using it for a while, this is what she told me:
The Kate Somerville Line Release Under Eye Repair is awesome! I have been using it for approximately 10 days and the results are amazing. With this product, I saw a difference very quickly – but then I thought that, perhaps, it was all in my mind. That is, until your sister came home for Christmas break and she asked me what makeup I had on under my eyes. I proudly said, ‘I am not wearing anything.’ Her reply was WOW, and said she was so used to seeing my dark circles poorly masked by pancake concealer, that she just had to ask.
Daneen, please tell your readers that for my under-eye problem, this is my savior. I researched the price, and when I learned it costs $125.00, I did not raise an eyebrow. For me this product is worth its weight in gold. Thanks, Kate Somerville…thanks, Daneen!
Thank you, Mom, for the great review! More Kate Somerville product reviews to come, so stay tuned.
