Can you guess the identity of this “celebrity” (and I use the term loosely)? Usually, she piles on the products – so it’s nice to see that there’s actually some natural beauty hiding beneath those layers of makeup.
Right now, I’m sitting at my computer waiting for my mud mask to dry (more on that later). What’s holding my hair back so that no stray strands end up stuck to my face? It’s my Aquis Microfiber Headband.
I purchased it at Home Goods for $5 earlier this year – but unlike some of the other impulse buys I made that day, this product was absolutely worth the money. Do I use it everyday? No, although I could and probably should. But it definitely comes in handy when I’m using masks and other treatments on my face and don’t want my hair getting caught in the product. Sure, you could just pull your hair back with an elastic band – but if you have bangs like me, you’ll find the Aquis Headband to be very practical.
The headband is a simple strip of plush microfiber with a velcro closure, that gently holds hair in place. Not only is it great at keeping your hair back while you’re tending to your face with an at-home treatment, it’s especially helpful when it comes time to rinse said treatment off.
The Sex and the City movie trailer has finaly dropped – and though it reveals nothing, it provides just the fix we need until the film’s May 2008 debut.
It was extremely difficult to choose two winners for the SpaFinder giveaway. You guys really laid it on thick! Just kidding. So many of you really deserve to be spoiled pretty, and I honestly wish that I had a gift certificate for each and every one of you.
But I only have two, and the winners are…Ron Miller and Doreen! Congrats!!!
Thanks to everyone who entered. Keep checking back – the next giveaway is just days away!
I’ve been singing Fergie’s new song, Clumsy, for two days straight. It’s so infectious – I can’t get it out of my brain. The equally addictive video is below. Dean and Dan Caten (of Dsquared) make an appearance, as do some well-placed MAC products. Apparently, the new Viva Glam spokeswoman doesn’t waste any time assuming her duties.
And how fantabulous is the inky nail situation she’s got going on?
Too often, there’s a good deal of false advertising when it comes to lip butters. In some cases, they’re actually waxy lip balms in a tube. And sometimes, they turn out to be gooey lip glosses – which I personally love. But if it’s gloss, then call it gloss – right?
Lucky for you, Spoiled Pretty as done some of the leg work – and we’ve found one that’s not waxy or gooey. I think even Goldilocks would agree – this lip butter is just right.
Korres Lip Butter is a buttery balm that melts on the lips and offers a shiny finish. The combination of shea butter and rice wax penetrate for deep hydration and softness. And because the lip butter is part of Korres’ new good-for-your-skin color collection, it’s perfect for those gals who prefer natural, eco-friendly beauty – but still prefer Manolo Blahniks to Birkinstocks.
Korres Lip Butter is available at Sephora.
