I’ve been using Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Bubble Bath on my son, Westley, since he came home from the hospital 8 months ago. The brand makes a Baby Bee Shampoo & Wash, but it dried out his skin and hair. I prefer the Bubble Bath to bathe Westley because it’s tear-free, gentler on his sensitive skin, leaves his hair silky and manageable, and smells so good that I can’t stop sniffing him after bath time. Plus, it gets him as clean as a shampoo and baby wash would – and he loves playing with the bubbles!
The sulfate-, phthalate-, petrochemical- and paraben-free is great for babying mommy’s skin too. On many occasions, I’ll lather up with this product because it smells THAT good. I never let Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Bubble Bath run out in my house. There’s always a bottle on standby.

My son has very dry, sensitive skin so finding a lotion that deeply moisturizes without breaking him out was very important to me. I tried quite a few brands and nothing came close to Lavanila The Healthy Baby Butter. It’s a 100% natural body cream that contains Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter and 30 essential vitamins and minerals. The non-greasy formula nourishes, soothes and protect against dryness. I apply The Healthy Baby Butter to Westley’s skin twice a day – and when I’m through, it’s like I just gave myself an ultra-hydrating hand treatment. Plus the fragrance is really amazing – soft yet intoxicating – like a baby should smell. I love this product so much that I buy 2-3 tubes at a time.
I love a hair product with Argan Oil in it. For centuries, Moroccan women have used this lightweight yet rich elixir to protect their hair (and skin) from UV damage while creating soft, silky perfection. It used to be that you had to purchase these Argan Oil–infused products at a salon or beauty boutique, and they would cost a pretty penny. Thankfully, Organix just launched the Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Collection (Argan Oil Shampoo, Conditioner, Renewing Treatment and Penetrating Oil) that performs just as well as its prestige counterparts, but costs around $9 per product and is available at drugstores.
Each formula is sulfate and paraben-free, and packaged in bottles made from materials containing recycled post-consumer resin. And all labels are printed utilizing environmentally-friendly inks and compostable label film made from annually renewable resource corn, not from petrochemicals.

I’m confused and I need your help. It seems that there are so many conflicting “rules” about how to apply mascara and I don’t know which ones to follow. Some say to hold the wand vertically while others say horizontally. I’ve been told to bend the wand – what good does that do? And some tips say let your mascara dry between coats, while other tips say not to let the coat dry before applying more.
If anyone knows the best way to apply mascara, I know it’s you. So please help, Mario!
I don’t blame you for feeling confused! Applying mascara should be one of the most simple steps in your makeup routine. I’m not sure that there is technically a “best way” to apply mascara as it really depends on your lashes and how you prefer them to look and feel. When I apply mascara, I hold the wand horizontally and apply it first to the root of the lash up to the tip. If I want a darker and fuller lash, I usually wiggle the brush from side to side to really coat the lashes with mascara.
I prefer to apply a second or third coat while the lashes are still wet because it allows for easier blending and separating. The same goes for the bottom lashes as well. I recommend you find your own way to apply mascara that feels most comfortable to you and gives you the result you want. In other words, you make your own rules to follow!

I’m currently in love (okay, obsessed) with Josie Maran Argan Slimline Lipstick with Gloss. On one end, there’s a creamy and lipstick and on the other, there’s a super shiny, non-sticky, sheer gloss that just so happens to smell and taste like vanilla cupcakes.
Formulated with Josie’s signature ingredient, Argan Oil, the product provides moisturizing coverage and is available in three pretty pink shades (I own Rosey, a dusty rose). I’m crossing my fingers that more colors are in the works because I would add each and every one to my collection.
This double-ended multitasker is a makeup bag must have.
Josie Maran Argan Slimline Lipstick with Gloss ($25) is sold exclusively at QVC.

In honor of Earth Day (April 22nd), Spoiled Pretty is celebrating its 3rd
annual Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman Week
– a week-long celebration of natural and organic beauty products that will help you green your beauty routine.
First up is a makeup bag must-have. You know how you apply your blush in the morning and by lunchtime, it’s disappeared and you look like a CSI cadaver? Well, I’ve found a blush that’s in it for the long haul.
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush is a new long-wearing, solar-baked blush that lasts up to 12 hours. No kidding. This cheek color lasts until you take it off.
Infused with natural clay harvested from the banks of the Amazon River and naturally baked by the sun, this nutrient-rich blush benefits all skin types. For oily skin types, Amazonian clay minimizes oil in and around pores to balance skin and keep product in place. And gals with dry skin will benefit from the clay’s nourishing and hydrating properties, which naturally restore skin’s moisture. Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush is also infused with Vitamins A, C and E – which fight free radical damage, prevent premature signs of aging, while brighten the skin.
Whether you’re feeling peachy keen or in the mood for a rosy glow, Tarte has you covered. Available in eight shades, the blushes are buildable and deliver a natural-looking, ultra-flattering flush. For best results, apply with my favorite blush brush from EcoTools
, which is also a friend of Mother Earth.
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush retails for $25 and is a Sephora exclusive.
