I am so excited about my new handbag, Audrey Brooke’s Leopard Satchel, that I couldn’t keep this fabulous find to myself. The photo doesn’t do this bag justice, so I shot a video to highlight its prettiness.
Besides being extremely cute (doesn’t it look designer?), well made and roomy, it was also crazy affordable. I would value this bag at about $200-250, but I snagged it for less than $100. It’s on sale at DSW for $129.95, but if you buy it online, you can use coupon codes to get a great deal. The awesome thing about DSW.com is that you can combine codes. By combining some random codes I researched online and cashing in some coupons I received as a DSW Rewards member (sign up…it’s free!), I saved $30 and got free shipping. Here are some codes to get you started:
SHOPTIME: Spend $74 get $15 off, spend $149 get $30 off,spend $199 get $50 off [Expires 10/17]
SHIPR: Free standard shipping on purchases of $35+ [Exp.06/20/12 – Valid only for logged-in DSW Rewards members]
The Leopard Satchel is also available with camel leather. If this bag is a bit big for you, Audrey Brooke has a similar, smaller Leopard Cross Body Bag. And with all the cash you’re saving, you might want to snatch up a matching wallet.
Yesterday, I saw an informercial for – and had it not been the middle of the day, I would have sworn it was a spoof on Saturday Night Live. Forever Lazy is so ugly and ridiculous that it makes the Snuggie look like haute couture.
I think that if you call and place an order for Forever Lazy, Clinton and Stacy from What Not To Wear should show up at your house for an intervention.
I was really excited to get this color from Daneen to try. Estee Lauder is a brand that I don’t often think of, but they have been putting out cosmetics in rich, exciting colors – and this polish is no exception! In the bottle, Enchanted Garnet is a clear, shiny red. My excitement faded as I started to apply the polish. The consistency is just off – it was sticky to apply, and dried in translucent layers that showed any and all flaws in my nails. I really wanted to like this polish, but I was disappointed. My search for the perfect blood red continues!
Time and time again, I’ve heard the rule that you should never do a bold eye and a bold lip at the same time. But I’ve seen it done in magazines and the red carpet and it looks stunning. Can you recommend some tips for achieving this look in real life?
The trick to achieving the look of a bold eye andbold lip in real life is to do it at the right time and for the right occasion. If not, you just won’t feel confident or comfortable.
To start experimenting with the bold look, use sheer formulas and textures. Instead of black smokey eyes and a matte opaque red lip, pair a sheer red lip color with a strong smokey eye using shimmery bronze shadow. Keep your skin natural and glowing, but make your lashes long and dramatic.
I guarantee you that in no time you will be inspiring other girls to be bold and beautiful, just like you ;-).

You know those tabs that come in Lucky Magazine? You know, the ones so you can bookmark the pages so you can flag the items that you want to buy? Well, those stickers would be completely useless with the latest Nordstrom catalog. Seriously, whoever put that look book together has a window into the retail-obsessed part of my soul. I want every single thing in that catalog to leap off of the pages and hang itself in my closet.
But what I’m particularly coveting is the gray nail lacquer that some of the models are wearing.
Anyone who knows me knows that I love me some Dermalogica. My problem skin has never responded to skincare products the way it does to Dermalogica. Even though I test a lot of products, I always keep Dermalogica products in the rotation because, otherwise, my skin up and stages a mutiny. I recommend Dermalogica to my friends, family and co-workers so much, you’d think I was making a commission. So when my husband, Mr. Spoiled Pretty, was running low on his face scrub, I took the opportunity to introduce him to one of my favorite brands.
The following is his (first) Spoiled Pretty review:
“I’m not a fancy boy/fancy pants. I don’t use many grooming products. Shaving cream, soap and after shave are basically it. But I am a true believer in face scrubs. I think Chanel has awesome face scrubs and Nivea is pretty much the stand-by, but Dermalogica’s Daily Clean Scrub is one of the best I’ve used. It’s great for when you haven’t used a face scrub in months…you’ll feel like a new man, because it’s got a very abrasive, almost sandpaper-ish feel. After you use it, you’ll feel great, clean, and very confident. You’ll feel like a sexy beast…women (i.e., your wife or girlfriend) will SWOON. I use it every day.”
