This pic is proof that pretty polish needn’t break the bank. My co-worker, Alyssa, is sporting Milani Nail Lacquer in Diamond Dazzle ($3.50). Above is two coats of the polish and below is Diamond Dazzle paired with OPI’s Black Shatter.

I have a full-time career (in addition to Spoiled Pretty) and I’m also a new mom, which means that I’m short on spare time – especially in the morning. Before I had Westley, I used to take my time and carefully apply my makeup before heading off to work. Now I’m so busy that I’ve had to seriously streamline my morning routine. On days when I’m in a rush, but need to look pulled together and polished, I even out my skin with foundation, then apply a skincare product that contains Vitamin E oil.
During the winter, when I’m abnormally dry, I pat Elizabeth Arden’s Ceramide Gold Ultra Restorative Capsules Intensive Treatment for Face and Throat on top of my foundation, all over my face for a dreamily dewy glow. It imparts a healthy radiance while protecting my skin from environmental stress and working its anti-aging magic. Now that it’s summertime, my skin is on oil overload – so, instead of applying it all over my face, I’ve been using the serum just on the bridge of my nose, my cheekbones and brows – to highlight my bone structure.
Hyperpigmentation is also a major skin issue for me, and I’ve found vitamin E to be particularly effective at diminishing my dark marks and acne scars – so this product is great for that too. Just remember to also use sunscreen so that the dark spots don’t re-appear!

No one loves M·A·C more than a Beauty Blogger. To thank them for their passionate devotion & always honest feedback, we invited NINE of our favourites to our lab in Toronto to custom-create their own Eye Shadow or Lipglass. Exclusively online, just like the makeup-mad minds that created them.
M·A·C BLOGGERS’ OBSESSIONS collection will be available June 21st through August 2nd at maccosmetics.com only. Mark your calendars because this collection has a high sellout risk! Which products are going on your shopping list?
When I showed up at work last week with a halo of shiny, bouncy curls, all of my co-workers wanted to know which salon I had visited. They were all very surprised when I told them that I styled my own hair – in 10 minutes, no less. They were even more shocked when I told them I didn’t own a curling iron.
So what’s my secret? Sedu Revolution Tourmaline Ionic Styling Iron. It’s a three-in-one straightening, curling and wave making machine. The ultra-smooth, polished plates seals the hair cuticle and easily glide through hair, delivering high shine. The anti-slip edges capture all of the hairs, so that each section gets evenly straightened/waved/curled. The iron has adjustable temperature control that goes up to 450°F – and it heats up to the desired temp in less than 25 seconds – so even when I’m in a rush (which I always am these days), I never have to wait to style my hair.
What’s even better is that, in addition to basic black, it comes in…
The Sedu Revolution Tourmaline Ionic Styling Iron retails for $160 and is available at folica.com. Kinda pricey, I know…but when you consider that this one tool is all you’ll need to style your hair (it’s great for travel!) and how well it performs, you’ll realize that it’s worth the investment. Buy it now and you’ll thank me later.
