When I was a young girl, one of my favorite pastimes was sitting in front of my mom’s mirrored closet doors and “playing QVC.” I would pretend to be Kathy Levine, meticulously describing each necklace, bracelet and pair of earrings in my mother’s jewelry box – using terms like Black Hills Gold, Diamonique and lobster claw clasp.
Twenty-some odd years later, I’m still a fan of QVC. My favorite show is Friday Night Beauty with Lisa Robertson – and if I didn’t have such excellent self-control, that program might bankrupt me. When I watch FNB, I always get the urge to call in and share my thoughts on the products I’ve tried. But I get nervous and I never go through with it.
So when QVC recently approached me about being one of their featured bloggers for the All Access Beauty event (it kicks off this Friday, April 13 at 11:00 PM EST and will continue on all day Saturday, April 14), I jumped at the opportunity. As an All Access Beauty Blogger, I’m sharing my top beauty picks on QVC.com. And since I’m local, I’ll be traveling to their West Chester, PA studios on Saturday to go backstage and meet beauty rock stars like Kate Somerville, Mally and Josie Maran. (more…)

But even one dark mark is a cause for concern and embarrassment – not to mention they can take months to lighten up.
One mark has taken up residence on my jawline for the past six months. It’s been there for so long, sometimes I just forget about it. That is until I see a photo of myself and cringe at how dark and mole-like it appears. So when a bottle of Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution showed up on my doorstep to review, I was very hopeful. Kiehl’s is one of my favorite skincare brands and their products have yet to disappoint, so I was very hopeful about this new innovation. (more…)
