Today at work, I got a pretty gnarly paper cut. This wasn’t some superficial slice either. This was like a third-degree paper cut and I was getting a little woozy from the loss of blood.
Normally, I would curse my clumsiness. But this time, I was actually kind of excited because I finally had an excuse to break into the unopened box of Cynthia Rowley Band-Aids I had at home. (more…)
Since I became pregnant with my son, Westley, my body and skin dramatically changed. Much of the physical transformation was expected, but I was surprised and amazed by how pregnancy and motherhood changed me at the cellular level. And ever since then, I’ve been trying to figure my new self out.
One of my New Year’s resolutions was to see a dermatologist (I haven’t been in years). But I’ve been so busy and pressed for time that it keeps falling to the bottom of my OneNote to-do list. Luckily, fate intervened and I was asked to participate in the 2012 Eucerin Healthy Skin Challenge! (more…)
A few weeks ago, HauteLook had a Stephanie Johnson makeup bag sale – which I shared with my tweetipies on Twitter. The brand saw my tweet and emailed to thank me for my support. They even offered me the ML Traveler bag to keep or give away on Spoiled Pretty. Because I’m a benevolent beauty blogger and I already have a mountain of makeup bags (several of them are from Stephanie Johnson), I chose the latter. (more…)
Don’t you just hate when you buy an eye pencil that doesn’t write right? I hate that. I mean, who wants an eyeliner that you have to draw on several times for it to actually show up? My philosophy for eyeliner – and for most color cosmetics, for that matter – is that it must deliver on pigment payout. Otherwise, I want my money back.
I recently discovered a liner that is worth much more than its $9 price tag. It’s so fabulous, in fact, that it smolders. (more…)
